- Private patio area

- Recent model desktop with Skype and FaceTime

- USB chargers (just in case you forget yours)

For travellers not as familiar with the island, here's some very helpful information on its location. The property is geographically located in the eastern part of the island. Hamilton is a 25 minute drive away and for $4.5 for a ferry token, even the extreme western end of the island, where you find the Royal Naval Dockyard, can be reached in 45 minutes or less. As public transportation is found in close proximity to the property, many guests have enjoyed the property's amenities and Bermuda by exclusively relying on these services. If, however, this is not for you and you plan to rent a scooter or Twizy, please know that the property offers both serenity and easy accessibility - the best of both worlds.

About The Owner

From a child the owner knew that this would be the place he wanted to build his home. This chance came in the early 2000's when he purchased the property and finally completed building in 2012. It was transformed from a a forgotten jungle ruin to a modern day home and guest rental that you now have the chance to enjoy.

Why The Owner chose Saint George's

What makes this escape so special?

This living space has been created specifically so it will be embraced as your home away from home. Complete with a zen garden, this apartment can be your refuge to help you recalibrate during your time away from 'the rat race' or be your launching pad for plenty of fun activities to enjoy while on vacation. All these elements blend together in unison to make this a place like none other.

What makes this apartment unique

As a value added option an unlocked cell phone can be provided for your convenience. Bring your own SIM card or purchase a local SIM once here to avoid roaming charges. For more information about the property and how a Near Escape vacation can be tailored to holidays for intimate getaways and adventurers contact the owner.

Guestbook comments from the owner

It was a pleasure meeting you. Your place was great in so many respects and we had a very relaxing time there! The view, the pool, and the quality of the unit itself were all major pluses. We really liked that it was close to St. George's but sort of secluded and private in relation to the busier areas on the island. We'd absolutely consider booking with you again if and when we return to Bermuda.

Nice place, great host

  • 5 of 5

The property is lovely. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful setting, this is a great spot. Pool is great. Views were awesome. If you're looking more to see the sights, just be sure to book some type of transportation as the place is a bit remote. If you have a scooter or Twizzie, you're less than 10 min from anything you'll need. Overall, great experience. Would book again.

Beautiful property with amazing views of Dollys Harbor

  • 5 of 5

Mike is an excellent host! He was extremely accommodating from having pick up service arranged at airport to helping us with other questions we had. His place is amazing, well kept and cozy. We had a moped service drop off a bike for my wife and me and we explored the island from there. Mike even went to dinner with us one night. His dog Karma is a sweet little doggy and she will hang out with you at the pool if you like. St. Davids is the right location if you want to visit Bermuda the proper way. Its quiet and bucolic while still being close to adventures around the island. I suggest you rent a moped as it will make your travels more adventurous but also cheaper. If you ever need anything Mike is prompt with responding. We plan on coming back soon! Mike we will see you in Charleston next year!

A beautiful, peaceful place to stay in Bermuda

  • 5 of 5

Just as pictured, a most amazing view! This beautiful guest house was a great find for us. It was literally next door to our friends that we were visiting in Bermuda, so it worked perfect! A driver picked us up at the airport and delivered us to the guest house giving us the code to enter. The house was clean and very comfortable. It is layed out as 3 separate rooms. The bedroom is where you enter and has that gorgeous view. A hallway takes you to the middle room which is the living room/kitchenette with all the amenities you will need. The bathroom is the last room and very spacious! A large walk-in shower and very modern. The only negatives I could say about this place is the shower went hot to cold and the air-conditioning unit is located in the Living room/kitchenette and does not get into the bedroom or bathroom so it got a bit hot in those areas. We opened the windows as there was always a nice breeze but there were no screens on them. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom which did help and kept us comfortable. Mike the owner was onsite and very friendly and helpful. The pool looked fabulous but we were to busy to spend any time in it. Its very close to the airport and a $15.00-$20.00 ride to St Georges. We would definitely stay here again! The view is SPECTACULAR!!!

The Perfect Setup

  • 5 of 5

Located in St. David, this rental is on a beautiful property. The interior, one bedroom, one shared living room/kitchen, and a bathroom, is modern and clean. Perfect fit for two people. The exterior, pool area, is expansive and overlooks the bay. You could spend all day relaxing here. We rented a scooter to explore the island. Overall, this was a great trip!

Mike - Thank you for having us! It was a pleasure to meet and speak with you. We will see you soon.

We loved our stay!

  • 4 of 5

Mike's property was a beautiful place to stay in Bermuda.

When we first arrived (with the help of a friendly, helpful driver who gave us a little tour and stop at the market) we were shocked by the beauty of the view, and this allure never wore off. This place is gorgeous -- overlooking the bay and a secluded cove -- and the location of the pool is amazing!

Mike's amenities made our stay very comfortable...highlights include seats by the pool for reading, tons of Bermuda reading material and even coffee filters and kitchen details that we didn't even realize we needed until we got there.

Like all the previous reviews said, this property is breathtakingly beautiful. We were able to walk to Clearwater Beach and explore St. George's from here. Also, like other reviews said, remember that you are remote. We explored Bermuda from here every day, but used the bus system, and only made it as far to Hamilton one day just because it felt like a lot of travel time.

Overall, our trip was fantastic and super relaxing. Thanks to Mike for sharing his home with us!

Peace of mind

  • 5 of 5

Great location with first class accommodation to match.

Mike is a great host . You're not living in a hotel but part of a small community with lush landscape and quaint country lanes. St George is about 10 min away on a scooter and shopping and restaurants abound. This part of the island offers a series of beautiful, often secluded beachs that contrast with the hustle and bustle beaches along the south shore. Overall top marks to our host and a full blown recommendation to anybody considering the home called Narrow Escape, St David's, Bermuda
