Dan Sierra is the owner of two ocean front Villas on Captiva Island; Sea Dreams and close by is Sunset Dreams. He is also a vacation broker assisting clients in locating other beach front properties when his two Villas are booked.
Dan Sierra purchased this townhome in 2013
The Villa is on pilings providing unique with awe inspiring direct gulf views and amazing sunsets, as well as sunrise views over the bay, sitting on over 3 acres of land shared by only 20 other Villas. The property includes exclusive access to over 380 feet of Gulf beach frontage, deep-water direct access boating, lush landscaping, and a large tropical pool, all shared by only 20 other Villas. This home is almost 2000 sq. ft. with three large bedrooms and two and a half baths. The beach and ocean are less than 30 steps from the house. The Villa is less than 10 minutes walking distance by beach or road to Captiva Village's many shops and restaurants.
Treasures to be experienced include ; spectacular white powdery sand beaches scattered with pastel colored seashells and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. Captiva is one of the few islands literally made up of shells created over thousands of years, and one of the places considered best in the world for shelling. There is a large tropical pool as well as a deep water access boat dock on the property. There are superb restaurants & shopping in the Village which are walking distance from the Villa. Golfing, tennis, fishing, boating, biking and all types of children's activities are available in this small slice of paradise. From the end of Sanibel the beach stretches 5 miles to the northern tip of Captiva Island at Redfish Pass. Captiva Drive is a road with giant cactus, colorful bougainvilleas and other tropical vegetation along a stretch of sea and sand ending at “Captiva Village”. It will remind you of a small lush island in the Caribbean.
Went for a family vacation with 5 adults and 1 child. Great space, and plenty of room. Dan was very accommodating, and the town-home had beach towels, chairs, two umbrellas, boogie boards, and a couple of wagons to get it all to the beach. Will definitely stay here again!
We just returned from our vacation in Captiva and had a truly amazing time. The Villa Sea Dreams was spectacular and exceeded our expectations. We walked in a said WOW and it turned out to be one of the best places we have ever rented!
The home is absolutely gorgeous, fully appointed with top of the line amenities, and completely stocked for all of your needs right down to the extra large beach towels. The kitchen is well equipped with great appliances, utensils, blender, crock pot, electric skillet, and plenty of dishware. They even provide a wide variety of spices. The private webber grill is a great addition for those nights we wanted to cook out. The furniture and bedding are all like new, the entire home is very clean, comfortable, and top notch. The views from the Villa are breathtaking and the Captiva sunsets are a sight to behold right in front of you. You are so close (25 steps the sand) to the beach/ocean you feel like you are right on top of the water. Even though you are that close they still provide a wagon making carting the top of the line beach chairs (best we have even seen at a rental property) and umbrellas to the beach a breeze. The road in front of the house has very slow moving cars (20 mph) and very easy to cross so no real issue at all. The water was calm and crystal clear for all of our stay. The wild life and shelling is incredible. We saw many variety of birds, dolphin and manatee just feet from the shore line. The Village with all of the restaurants, cafes with outdoor music, art galleries and shops is a quick easy 6 minute walk by beach or road. The charm of the Village gives you a remote Caribbean Island feel but with all the amenities of main land Florida.
The owners (Dan & Dyan) and property manager made sure our vacation was be the best it can with a quick response to any questions that we had or assistance requested. Dan has also been very helpful in the past by providing other great rental alternatives when his homes were not available. His 30 years of knowledge really pays off when you want a honest opinion on location and quality of other rentals.
The complex of 20 units has beautiful tropical landscaping and stretches from the bay in the back to the ocean in front, a great set up for families. The pool area is a great place to relax after a long day on the beach. It was quiet and well maintained.
This was my family's second annual vacation to Captiva and stay in Villa Sea Dreams. This property is just lovely. Upon arrival you will notice how impeccably clean and well-cared for the home is. It is fully stocked with kitchen utensils, cookware, bedding, soaps, bath and beach towels, and updated beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, wagons, and toys), etc. You are mere steps from a beautiful pool, which (although shared with other units) is quiet, serene, and peaceful. Right across the street is the beach -- guaranteed sunset views every night. Around the corner from the pool is a dock where we enjoyed a cup of coffee at sunrise -- and spotted several manatee. The owner is accessible and a pleasure to work with. We love this place so much we've already booked for next year. I recommend this rental without hesitation.
We wanted a nicely appointed place with easy beach access. Apparently this property is popular enough that there was really only one week available and that was a tad early for guaranteed beach weather. But we lucked out and it was sunny and warm all except one day. If you found it was too cool or breezy on the beach, just go to the pool and problem solved. The property itself is very well appointed. All the appliances you need, right down to the blender! Great open concept layout for socializing. I think the listing even sold itself a little short by not fully enumerating everything that is at your disposal, plenty of pool and beach toys and chairs, a fishing rod, nets for scooping little fish out of the water, a beach umbrella, two car garage so you can put your bikes away at night. There is a large flat screen TV in every single room in the house, a few books and DVD's and plenty of channels, games and amusements, loads of pillows, towels and linens. The master suite is palatial, with a jetted tub, walk in closet, views on three sides, King bed. Everything clean and fairly new. Reliable WIFI. Really, they seem to have thought of everything you need. The kitchen even had a spice rack and a few shelf-stable items (presumably left by other visitors, but nice!). The view is incomparable and even being right on the main road, not an inordinate amount of road noise; everyone drives slowly and they respect bicyclists and walkers here. Town is a very short walk away, you can get pretty much anything you want, including a big city newspaper. The management company was responsive to our few needs. You can't go wrong here. You will be satisfied.
Villa Sea Dreams was so amazing. My husband and I stayed for a week and Dan was great to work with. He responded in a timely manner and answered all of our questions as well as gave us valuable information about the area. Every room is perfectly equipped for comfort and all that you need to make your stay peaceful and relaxing. There are plenty of beach towels, and heavy duty beach chairs and an umbrella along with a wagon to help get your items to the beach. Everything in the unit was spotless clean also. This unit faces the ocean and all we did is cross the street to our own private beach. We saw dolphins daily and picked up sand dollars out of the ocean floor. It is located on a narrow stretch of the island so we could also walk about 75 feet behind the unit to view the bay where there were manatee. We were the only ones at the peaceful pool every day. We enjoyed our morning walks to the shops in the center of Captiva with all of the lush, tropical vegetation.
I wish that everyone could experience this tropical piece of heaven on earth. Thanks again Dan!!
Our family had a wonderful stay at Sea Dreams Villa at Captiva Shores this past August. Some of the many things that we enjoyed about Sea Dreams were:
- It's proximity to the Beach is excellent. We could be set up and on the beach in less than 10 minutes.
- It's proximity to Captiva Village and all of the shops and restaurants. Just a walk down the beach to the Mucky Duck.
- Easy access to a dock and pool.
- The villa itself was more than well equipped and had everything we needed. The rooms contained quality furnishings, was very comfortable, and of course the views were fantastic.
- Traffic on Captiva Drive was very light, it was easy to cross, and almost zero noise factor.
- The management company was very responsive! We had a couple beach umbrellas get blown out and they came and replaced them pretty quickly. All of the beach chairs were of good quality, and all beach equipment was easily transportable back and forth to the beach.
With numerous stays on Captiva Island under our belt, we felt that our stay at Sea Dreams was one of the best if not the very best! We would definitely rent the Sea Dreams Villa on future stays on Captiva.
