If you are looking for an authentic experience in Porto, this is the right place to stay! This charming and cozy room offers the perfect escape from the bustle of the city centre... It is in a private building from the main house, nestled in a beautiful sunny garden with a private swimming pool - a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere where you can enjoy every morning our delicious breakfast.
Located in the old neighborhood of Foz, the sea and the river are just within a two-minute walk away and just a bit further away there is the Contemporary Art Museum of Serralves. There are also great restaurants in the neighborhood that can provide an excellent starting point for your local gastronomic and wine experience.
The historical city centre is just 15min away by public transportation. If you feel like going for something more extreme, you can always head to nearby beaches for a surfing adventure. As surf lovers, we will be more than glad to assist you on this matter!
In order to get to the heart of Porto, jump on a bike (available for free) and enjoy the scenic ride along the Douro river. A vintage tramcar or a bus to the historical city centre are quicker alternatives as they should take only around 15 minutes do get there.
We look forward to hosting you!

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay in this romantic cottage in the Foz District of Porto. It is in a great location, quiet and tucked away, but very close to walks by the sea, restaurants, and the trolley that zips to the old town in no time. The cottage is cozy and sweet, and may have the coolest bathroom we've ever seen, exhibiting excellent design and the highest quality fixtures. The breakfast provided was the best we had in all of Portugal, and beautiful in every detail. Most of all, Ariana and her family were the consummate hosts, with the warmest of welcomes, assistance with our plans, and perspectives on life there.
We had a special break in Porto in the half term week, weather was lovely and warm and sunny after a storm the day we arrrived, the garden studio is a great little hideaway for couples and was comfortable and contemporary. Liked the big shower, bed was fine, it is nice to have a private pool, and we had a very warm welcome from Ariana who is lovely and does her best to give her guests a large filling breakfast each morning. She even got up early on our last day to make sure we had something to eat before our early check in at the airport. We loved Porto and spent a few hours over the course of 4 days enjoying a sangria in the sun at a riverfront bar/cafes. Visited one of the Portuguese Port Wineries for a tour and Port tasting went up on the cable car, did a bit of shopping. You need to be a bit fit to get about as away from the waterfront Porto is quite hilly. Ariana directed us to some nice local restaurants, and we also found a one of our own one evening near the waterfront in the city. We thought prices were quite reasonable. The location is outside the city centre but we found that perfect, to be in an authentic area, with the sea and river within a few steps. There are buses and trams to the city cente we loved the old trams but we had a slow saunter in the first morning ,took a little while but was very enjoyable in the sun. When we left we felt as if we had made a new friend in Ariana, and would love to go back again as we had a perfect city break in a lovely part of the world.
Lovely room to stay in which had everything you needed to be comfortable - we liked the decor :) only thing that would have been handy is a little kitchenette or a kettle so you could make yourselves a hot drink, however there is a mini fridge in the garden that can be used for cold drinks and it was
made clear that there is no kitchen area. Pool and garden are beautiful and are a real perk of staying here! The breakfast in the morning was a nice touch and we never went hungry! Only thing we would suggest is to put out different things as by the past morning (we stayed for a week) we were a bit bored of having the same thing to eat. Arianna is very friendly and helpful- the perfect host. We would definitely recommend staying here - it was lovely staying in Foz and getting the easy tram into the centre of Porto or biking in. We would definitely stay here again! :)
We just had the pleasure of spending five nights at Garden of Camelias and can honestly say it was one of our best memories of our six week tour of Spain & Portugal. The old town of Porto is within easy reach and the river mouth and ocean beaches are easy walking distance. We loved riding the old trams into old Porto. Ariana and Alex are perfect hosts and we loved meeting their beatiful young family. They gave us great suggestions for eateries and sights to visit. Our 'private' pool was very welcoming to come home to after a day out. We looked forward to our delicious breakfast served by the pool each morning with Ariana's special touches. The room was spotless, bed comfortable and we loved the monsoon shower. It was great to be able to leave our window open at night and have no traffic noise. We loved every aspect of our stay.
We had such a wonderful stay in Porto and can't wait to go back. Ariana and Alex were so fantastic, wonderful hosts and have great suggestions for restaurants and things to do in Porto. The cottage is perfect, the garden and pool area are beautiful. Each morning we had a delicious breakfast of breads, pastries, granola and yogurt, meats, cheeses and more! The location is ideal..close to the beach, shopping and downtown. It is the perfect place to stay in Porto; I recommend it for couples only.
Ariana and Alex were terrific hosts. They made our stay at the cottage feel special. The cottage and gardens are beautifully detailed and the pool and outdoor areas are perfect for a couples getaway. Each morning our hosts served us a wonderful breakfast, complete with juice, bread, pastries, granola and yogurt, and coffee. They provided us with bicycles and lots of tips of places to explore in Foz. We really enjoyed our stay here!
