About Michael Geatz
Hi Potential Guest - As a frequent traveler, my home is open for others to enjoy San Diego. I was raised in the Midwest and currently manufacture medical devices as well as do software consulting for other medical device companies. This year's resolution is getting through 'beginner's hell' of salsa/country dancing, Cheers! Mike

It’s in a great spot. Accurate listing. I liked the blackout curtains in the bedroom. Cute dogs too
Noisy and lacks privacy
The check-in was easy, but parking is a pain. The off street parking required the blocking of another vehicle. The neighborhood is accessible to quite a bit, but extremely noisy. Constant traffic, people outside all night making noise, etc. The property manager does not give renters privacy.
So sorry this guest didn't have the same fantastic time as most. Am guessing the offer to join us for a free sailboat ride encroached on their privacy ... we'll get a privacy fence erected ASAP. Cheers :)
We arrived and the property had not been turned over (i.e. bedding changed, towels washed, etc). The property manager did not disclose in the listing that there construction going on next door. Each of the the three days we stayed there were construction workers on site, as early as 5 am on one day, talking loudly. Actually construction began at 7 am by law but they were noisy before. On the final day the workers brought in a noisy crane truck around 5:30 am and left the engine running on it straight through to 7 am. We did not get any good sleep the last two nights there. There directions for where to park were very unclear as well. When we arrived the app would not load in the access details on how to enter the property. The was no phone listed on how to contact the property owner. If he hadn't lived on site we would have had access to entry. The fact the he said he had forgot we were arriving that day did not sit well with us. We feel the property should have been ready at 3 pm for our check in.
Cute little apartment
Our schedule changed last minute and Michael allowed very early checkin with no issues. The place was just what we needed..a cute little apartment that was nestled right in the middle of north park. We found easy walks to breweries, restaurants, and shopping.
The extra mile
I was looking for an affordable room for one night close to the airport. The hours I needed the room were kind of wonky and I needed someone who would accept a pet which is why I checked out VRBO as opposed to an airport hotel. My trip was to pick up a dog I was adopting and fly back to Minnesota the next day. Thank goodness I found Michael's property! It was very close to the airport, clean with a very comfortable bed. What really impressed me was the accommodations Mike made for me, he picked me up at the airport and gave me a quick tour of the area and offered up a lot of interesting information about the area as well. He also made his home available to me to hang out after checkout as my flight did not leave until 6pm that evening. On top of that he also drove me back to the airport with my adopted dachshund the next day. He uncomplicated what would have been a very complicated trip to San Diego!
What made this a great stay was the fantastic hospitality Michael provided.
