Great stay for our brief family weekend getaway this past winter 2016. Due to the wet weekend we didn't get to spend as much time on the mountain as we liked. This chalet was well equipped for our family of 5. Cosy, clean, dry, super warm and well equiped and made us feel at home. This place was our highlight of the weekend. We will be back next year!
I was lucky enough to spend 9 weeks at Scottbase while my children attended ski school through National Park school (Winter 2016), I loved the view of the mountains in the mornings, the heatpump on timer + the pot belly meant we were warm and that ski gear could dry quickly. I found house well equiped but the shower's hot water fair when my youngest singing was involved. With many activities to do in the region + a comfortable bach on return to each day, I couldn't recommend Scottbase enough.
Great location, sound accommodation and great value for money for a family of 5.
Very tidy, cozy and has everything you don't normally find in a bach - dishwasher, dryer, warm duvets, and not to miss the lovely kitchen. Surely our 1st accommodation option when heading off to Mt Ruapehu from hereon. Hopefully next time, the people before us will do better with vacuuming especially the stairs, clean up the dryer lint filter and take their hashbrown with them instead of living on the table. Apart from that, we had a very comfortable stay with the bonus of perfect weather.
