Great property & great location along the river for all seasons!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here during Labor Day weekend 2017. The house is very nice, open and private. The home is not on the opposite side of the road from the river (as we thought), it is all on the same side. There are great walking paths and the river is nice and sandy and a great location for kids. You can tube or just wade in the water. There's a great firepit a few steps from the house where you can sit with a group of people and relax. The hot tub was a cherished amenity for all, even the kids when it was a bit chilly out, but I advise you to follow the instructions and find all supplies before using. The fireplace in the house works exactly as advised - takes a bit to start, but will keep you warm with little stoking after it gets going. This is a very private property and the neighbors are very nice as well. A local store is nearby if you forget anything. A Hannaford's is about 45 minutes away (Ossippee, NH) as well. Since we came to tube, the bridge to put in is under 10 minutes from the property right in the center of Brownsfield, complete with a canoe ramp and plenty of parking space. It takes 1-2 hours to reach the property from the bridge (depending on the current and water level). Oh, and the dog loved every bit of it.

Definitely away from it all!

  • 3 of 5

We stayed at the Sace Riverbend house in June 2017, it was me, my husband, my parents and our dogs. The dogs absolutely LOVED the trip. Being able to run through the woods was a real treat for them. We didn't see a single person the whole time we were there, which is exactly what we wanted. The mosquitos were A LOT to handle, but we just used a lot of bug spray. The hot tub was great and super relaxing. Not having air conditioning, and only a few fans only became an issue on our first and last day of our stay, when the humidity was at its peak.

We ran into some issues with the maintenance person for the property but Susan helped us out.

Also, be aware this house is on a LONG dirt road! And I imagine this place would be great in the winter time.

Comfort in the woods

  • 5 of 5

We had a total of 9 people staying at the place and it was fantastic (one couple brought an air mattress). The place is very clean, beds were made and comfortable, great kitchen with pretty much everything you need to make anything you want, great big living room with a good TV and best of all the hot tub. There's plenty of space outside to park a few cars. There's a nice deck and a good size grill.

Hot tub was my favorite thing in the house. There were directions on how to use the hot tub but we got a little confused about a couple of things. One we didn't know where the filter was so that we can check it and we didn't know how to fill it back up. We called Susan and she was able to help us with it very quickly.

This house being so close to the saco river, I would definitely stay here again. Loved it!

Great place to go to get away from it all!

  • 4 of 5

A group of us stayed here for a ski trip for my boyfriend's birthday. Everyone kept telling me they felt right at home. This place is cozy and relaxing and has everything you need (plus a hot tub). Convenient to the ski resorts but secluded enough to be a real escape from it all. Susan was very accommodating and answered all of my questions. She even let us arrive early in the day and stay later our final day.

Peaceful Serene location

  • 5 of 5

My family really enjoyed staying at this lovely home. We enjoyed our week skiing at Shawnee peak and King Pine. We also went ice fishing, I hired Ron from orionoutfitter.net to take my family ice fishing. He made it easy to enjoy as well as teach the kids the ins and outs of ice fishing. We snow shoed with the kids down to the river on the property finding many different animal tracks in the snow. We had a relaxing day and shopped in North Conway. The house location is great. Approx 25 min to both ski areas as well as North Conway. The kitchen was well stocked with all the kitchen gadgets I needed to cook some delicious meals for my family. The hot tub felt so nice to ease our achy skiing bodies. The wood stove was easy to maintain and a great place to sit infront of to start and end your day. I definitely would recommend this place.
