Beach-front 2br/2ba condo with 2 balconies overlooking ocean!

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,000 sq ft
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

Plenty of space for the whole family! 3 beds, a sleeper sofa, & 2 full baths!

Spacious condo on third floor of the beachfront Seawatch VIII building, with its own private beach access, ample parking, and TWO balconies both overlooking the ocean.

If you choose Seawatch VIII for your vacation, you can expect a much more private and peaceful beach experience than you would get at a high-rise condo with a pool and elevator. You'll have plenty of beach space to set up your towels or play games, with a direct view of the ocean, not blocked by a hundred other beachgoers. You won't have noisy neighbors coming down the hall at all hours of the night, or have trouble finding parking. But fun activities like Garden City Pier or the Pavilion are just outside your door.

This unit has a full kitchen with breakfast bar, a breakfast nook dining area, and living room with pull-out sleeper sofa on the main floor. Also on the main floor is a bedroom with two twin beds and a closet, a full bath, and washer/dryer. A unique spiral staircase leads to the loft bedroom upstairs, with a queen-size bed, full bath, and a second private balcony. There is private beach access from the main floor balcony. Both bedrooms have new LCD TVs with cable and DVD players, and the living room has a 40" LCD with blu-ray. WiFi is available in the unit as well, with somewhat limited bandwidth (3 Mbps, enough to stream one video at a time). In addition to closets in the unit itself, there is a private storage closet on the ground level, right by the beach and parking lot, so you don't have to lug your umbrella or beach chairs upstairs. The kitchen is fully stocked with towels, dishes, cookware, and small appliances (including a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, toaster oven, blender, and crockpot). We offer a limited cleaning service for guests at no additional charge. This includes vacuuming, sanitizing counters/surfaces in the kitchen and bathrooms, and replacing all bed linens and towels. This cleaning service does not include taking out the trash, washing or putting away dishes, or cleaning small appliances. We are happy to provide dishes, cookware, and small appliances for your convenience in the unit, but our cleaning service does not cover these items due to the limited time between guests on Saturdays.

This unit is perfect for a family of 4-6, a couple who wants plenty of room to relax, or a small group of friends. The main-floor bedroom has two twin beds with an attached bathroom. The upstairs loft bedroom has a queen bed with a private bathroom. In the living room, there is a pull-out sleeper sofa with a gel-topped memory foam mattress, so it is just as comfortable as any normal bed. So you can comfortably sleep 6 in this unit.

Check-in is after 3pm on Saturday, and check-out is before 10am the following Saturday. Unfortunately, no pets are allowed, and there is no elevator. This is a time share property privately owned by several families, so not all weeks are available (please check the calendar before submitting an inquiry), and stays are always Saturday-Saturday.

About Edward Jones

I am an electrical engineer, and I help manage the rental of this time share condo in some of my free time. This property has been in my family since I was a kid, so I love the place and take great care of it.

Edward Jones purchased this condo in 1990

Why Edward Jones chose Murrells Inlet

I grew up going to this condo with my family every summer, and it is very special to me. I've put a lot of time with my father into renovating and updating the unit for years, and I am really proud of it. It's a great location for families, but also close to great night life for young people. I go there for family reunions with my parents and nephew, and also with my college friends. It's a time share property, so I only own five weeks out of the year, but I am authorized to rent weeks on behalf of some other owners as well.

What makes this condo unique

I love the two balconies, so you can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and wake up to the sun rising over the horizon. And the spiral staircase is always fun for kids, because it is so unique. The location is the best part though. Close to the Garden City Pier, the Causeway, Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, mini golf, golf courses, water parks, shopping. And if you are up for a little bit of a drive, there are the more touristy attractions like the Boardwalk, Barefoot Landing, and Broadway at the Beach about 30 minutes away. But I rarely feel the need to go that far for a good time.

Felt like we had our own piece of the beach. Such a soothing area. Nice quiet get away.

It was nice and quiet. Clean and any issues or concerns we had Edward responded right away. Just hated the stairs though. They really need an elevator. I did not think it would be that bad but it was.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review, Teri. I know that the stairs can be a chore. But I'm glad you enjoyed your stay!

We had a really nice week here!

  • 4 of 5

The 3rd floor unit in Seawatch VIII in Murrells Inlet, SC was a great place for my wife and I. We enjoyed hearing the surf in the background and seeing the ocean out the back decks and side windows. Having 2 decks toward the ocean was also great. Edward provided great details of the property and responded promptly. The main bedroom on the 2nd floor loft was comfortable but the spiral staircase makes it a challenge for getting a large suitcase up there. However the staircase added charm to the unit. My wife thought the soffa in the living room might have an odor to it but it wasn't strong. We would definitely recommend this unit for you to use in the future.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review, Philip and Bev. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I had our cleaner check out the sofa. He couldn't smell anything, but he deodorized it just in case. Thanks for the heads up! And I agree about the spiral staircase. Very charming, but a bit narrow to carry up a large suitcase.

Great Family vacation place

  • 5 of 5

Clean and comfortable apartment with amazing views. Large table on the balcony for daily meals or coffee. Equipped with all kitchen utensils, but also kitchen towels, soaps, detergents, toilet paper - like at home. The storage downstairs is huge bonus as you don't need to carry your beach stuff up the stairs. Will be back next year.

The perfect getaway! 🏖🌴

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed with my father here in prime time July just a few weeks ago. When we arrived, the condo was clean and ready to go! I loved the bedroom loft and the second balcony, though we spent most of our time on the comfy dining set on the first floor balcony (when we weren't at the beach!). We have been to Surfside/Garden City/Murrells Inlet almost every year for the last 26 years (we skipped a few recently) but our contact sold their condo. This new place was exactly what we were looking for. I also loved that we didn't have to pack a suitcase full of towels or spend a small fortune on soaps and cleaning supplies like normal. The balcony beach access was new to me and definitely an added perk! The whole space was the perfect size. The beach was never too busy. Edward was so nice and quick to respond in the days leading up to and during our stay. The only weird thing was the way the parking spaces were facing in the small lot and the limited parking. Thankfully we only brought one car. We will definitely keep this as a go-to if we keep up our tradition of returning every year!

Great Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Nice condo right on the ocean, all the necessities, including washer and dryer. Don't bother cooking, because you'll be missing out on all the good seafood over in Murrells Inlet. Try the she-crab soup.... go to Bubbas for happy hour and get a pound of peel and eat shrimp right out of the pot!

If you're a high-maintenance gotta have granite counter tops or my vacation is ruined kinda person... this probably isn't for you. If you're a regular person that wants a great place to stay, and affordable rate, this IS for you! Comfy bed too.

The bonus for us was the HUGE storage locker on the lower level, We kept ALL of our surfboards in there locked up. We didn't have to worry about them.
