Paradise realized

  • 5 of 5

This was my second time staying at the South Kona Coffee Resort and it was absolutely heaven. Staying in the Mango House was a nice 'get away' from everything and I loved that it was an 'off-the-grid' house (i.e. using solar power, etc.). It was a tranquil location with birds singing every morning, pheasants walking through the yard and amazing scenery every sunset (not to mention the amazing fresh fruit right off the trees). Brad and his wife are gracious hosts making sure your every need is met. I definitely will be back in the future!

Amazing location, relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed for two weeks in the Honu Cottage on Brad and Linda's property. We very much enjoyed the cottage with a nice porch, outside bbq, fridge/freezer, sauna, comfy bed, claw foot tub on the patio and tiled inside shower. The cottage sits on an old lava field, and we loved being surrounded by banana plants, many tropical fruit trees (Brad provided us with fresh oranges, avocados, papayas, pineapple, his farm's fresh coffee)and we were greeted by the most beautiful geckos and birds every day. The cottage has no glass windows just screens which really connects you to nature. Brad was very attentive to our needs and took care of any requests/concerns immediately. The Choice market which is on the way to the cottage has fresh veggies and fresh local fish, caught that morning with a selection of fish we have never tasted. We bbq'd shark, blue marlin and other amazing tasting fish. No need to stop at Costco or Walmart. For cooking you would need to use the side burner of the bbq which worked well for us. Great snorkeling beaches close by with 2 step being our favorite, if you like to snorkel and want to see turtles.

Brad and Linda are great hosts, and the cottage was super clean when we arrived. Change of bed sheets and towels is provided, though no washer/dryer. If you like to stay away from the touristy hotels/resorts.......this is the place to enjoy! Thank you, Brad and Linda for sharing your property with us and being a great host. We felt very welcome!

A memorable and rejuvenating stay on the big island!!!

  • 5 of 5

For a stay in a beautiful, tranquil and natural surroundings that is away from the throngs of tourists yet conveniently located for sight-seeing and super affordable, look no further than the South Kona Coffee rentals. My husband and I stayed in the dolphin cottage for 5 nights/6 days and had the best time of our lives!! The description of the rental was spot on - the cottage was immaculately clean, had a private bathroom and a fully equipped, shared outdoor kitchen. Brad is a wonderful host and was very generous in offering us fresh fruits, coffee and macadamia nuts – all grown on the property. To sum it up, the South Kona Coffee rental is indeed a tropical paradise that we can’t wait to return to for our next trip :-).

The Best

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed at South Kona Coffee Rentals twice in less than a year. It is one of the best spots to relax on the island. The estate is a tropical paradise with plants, cute lizards and birds everywhere. We (my wife and I) loved picking food from the huge variety of fruit trees and drinking kona coffee grown in the back yard. Brad and Linda are fantastic. They are very quick at responding to requests. The cottages themselves are cozy and have everything you would need for a longer stay.

I will continue to always stay with Brad and Linda whenever I am on the Big Island.
