Welcome to our 'Great Lake Escape'. This four season home offers exceptional panoramic views from most areas inside as well as outside on it's wrap around deck and expansive 450 ft of lake shore. 'Escape' today's fast-paced lifestyle or if you seek adventure, you can boat, ski, hunt, hike, fish, explore caves/and or casinos. The lakescape offers family friendly lake frontage that kids and adults are sure to enjoy. There's over an acre of yard, spacious wrap around decks and triple docks, allowing ample opportunities for outdoor fun. Location on a near point lot and idle zone of the lake keeps both street and lake traffic at a minimum. While there are many local attractions and nearby recreational opportunities to enjoy, guests comment most about amazing views of soaring bald eagles, blue herons, deer and wild turkeys; the relaxing sound of the horses hoofs clopping as they pull an Amish buggy across the causeway, the brilliance of the stars at night, and most of all---the perfect peace and indescribable quiet. From fishing to swimming to evening campfires, this is a place you will want to escape to time and time again.

What a great place. We felt so at home here. Everything was so clean and well thought out. The layout worked out so well for our group. We loved the boats. the fishing was fabulous! The flowers are such a nice touch and we have never seen so many hummingbirds! Sunning on the deck and docks with the nice lawn chairs was great. Great spots for reading inside and out. Great memories were made here.
We had a good time at the lake house. The house is well stocked and in great condition. Brenda was very nice and easy to work with. We came at a weird time in March, so it was very quiet (not busy on the lake). We saw lots of birds: ducks, loons, kingfishers, etc. We also got 3 inches of snow, which put a damper on our hiking and boating plans. The IGA in Loogootee had a good selection of food/beverages. We all enjoyed the Amish buffet in Montgomery (10 min.). I gave the rental 4/5 stars only for the Wi-Fi issue. It costs extra and was a bit tricky to set up. If your phones use Google Project Fi (uses Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Three), you definitely need Wi-Fi in this area. Verizon seemed to work ok. I wish we could totally unplug, but that was not practical on this trip. Thanks for a great stay.
Wonderful place for a family get together. Great open space for visiting, eating and playing games. Everyone had a bed to sleep in. The view and surrounding area are beautiful
Our family of 20 had a wonderful time together at the Great Lake Escape. We were very pleased with the property and clean and comfortable home. Our winter stay was COLD but there was plenty to do together inside. We would recommend this get away place to anyone!
Weather wasn't good and the fish didn't bite but we loved the house and location! We will be back!!
What an incredible weekend! Bonfires, fishing, swimming (brrrr!!), canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boating, cooking, grilling, and hanging out with family! Beautiful, large, and very private property. Having the house at the end of the road was beyond amazing.
We found the house to be perfect for our group and all ages loved it! Ages 8 months to 83 years old! We loved that the kids could run around outside within view of the wraparound decks. It was also nice to have large common areas both upstairs and downstairs. It allowed for visiting and playing downstairs in the living room/deck, while others could be more mellow upstairs, reading, etc.
The changing leaves were beautiful and the lake was so peaceful. We found all of the neighbors and folks we met out on the lake to be very friendly and a lot of fun!
The personal poetry and the art were wonderful touches. Made us feel right at home! Cannot wait to come back!
Lovely, tranquil location on the lake. Lots of seating and tablets on outdoor decks. Well equipped kitchen. Paddle boat and canoe were a nice addition. We hope to be back.
