Overview

About the property

4bdrm, 2 Bath Lakeshore Cottage. Panoramic Views Of 450 Ft Of Shoreline.

Welcome to our 'Great Lake Escape'. This four season home offers exceptional panoramic views from most areas inside as well as outside on it's wrap around deck and expansive 450 ft of lake shore. 'Escape' today's fast-paced lifestyle or if you seek adventure, you can boat, ski, hunt, hike, fish, explore caves/and or casinos. The lakescape offers family friendly lake frontage that kids and adults are sure to enjoy. There's over an acre of yard, spacious wrap around decks and triple docks, allowing ample opportunities for outdoor fun. Location on a near point lot and idle zone of the lake keeps both street and lake traffic at a minimum. While there are many local attractions and nearby recreational opportunities to enjoy, guests comment most about amazing views of soaring bald eagles, blue herons, deer and wild turkeys; the relaxing sound of the horses hoofs clopping as they pull an Amish buggy across the causeway, the brilliance of the stars at night, and most of all---the perfect peace and indescribable quiet. From fishing to swimming to evening campfires, this is a place you will want to escape to time and time again.

NOTE: We have just purchased this property, which has been a vacation rental since 2011. Because the purchase was so recent, we have not had time to accumulate reviews yet. However, reviews of the property under the previous ownership are available, from us, upon request and they will give you information about what others enjoyed regarding the property, the area and the local attractions, as well as the cleanliness and condition of the property. The rental will be continuing just as it was before the change of ownership---same furnishings, same prices, same amenities, same housekeeping staff and same standard of excellence in cleanliness and service.

Guestbook comments from the manager

What a great place. We felt so at home here. Everything was so clean and well thought out. The layout worked out so well for our group. We loved the boats. the fishing was fabulous! The flowers are such a nice touch and we have never seen so many hummingbirds! Sunning on the deck and docks with the nice lawn chairs was great. Great spots for reading inside and out. Great memories were made here.

Great experience!

  • 5 of 5

We had a big group and had such a nice time. Had everything we needed at the house. Owners bent over backwards to ensure our stay was special. Thank you! Next time around we will probably come earlier in the summer for clearer water.

Perfect for family vacations or a girls get get a way !!

  • 5 of 5

Our family (sisters and mom) have stayed at this vacation home several times now. Each year, we find we love the home and area more than the time before. The beautiful deck is a perfect place for our morning coffee and evening games. We are on the lake floating on our rafts most all afternoon and loving it! The house is just perfect and so well kept with just everything you could possibly need or want. Makes you feel right at home the moment you open the front door. We want to thank Brenda, the realtor and Mike the owner for making sure that everything is just perfect and taking such good care of us. The cleaning staff do a wonderful job in keeping the home refreshed with each change of visitors.

We will definitely be back again next year

Perfect property for Large Group!

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with the property upon arrival. Description and photos were very accurate and the views were even better. Plenty of space inside and out for our large group and everything was in great shape with all necessities provided. The refrigerator wasn't working great when we arrived but the owner had a brand new one there by morning! They were great hosts. The only negative was the lake. There was a scum covering most of the lake to the point no one wanted to get into the water. (Seller said they had drained/lowered the lake recently so that would go away eventually) That was disappointing with perfect sunny 90 degree days but the property provided plenty of space to play games and HUGE deck space so we still had a very enjoyable time! We would definitely come back with wives or another guy trip!!

Loved It!

  • 5 of 5

This was a lovely home and beautiful lake property. We were a group of ladies who take an annual ladies trip. Plenty of room for all to have beds, and the open space downstairs was perfect for all of us to be able to gather together. The deck was amazing as well! I will definitely be returning, and next time with family and grandchildren.

Perfect place to bring family together

  • 5 of 5

You always wonder if it ( person or place ) is going to look like the pictures. We found one that does--The Great Lake Escape. I would rate it a 15, on a scale of 10. The home is breathtaking when you arrive up the drive and gets better. My wife and I brought our family together for our 50th anniversary to this central location. The family had a great time just being together. Days were spent on the dock and in the lake. Used the canoe and paddle boat. Thank you for the extras such as life jackets, paddles, and deck facilities. The house was immaculate and very well laid out. We had no problems with anything within the house. Located close enough to all the benefits of southern Indiana from Zip lining to a robbery on the train ride. Again " Thank You " for being a part of our celebration by letting us use your home to gather together.
