About Kevin & Susan Lamb

We are the Lamb family from Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Canada. For many years our family operated a beach-side cottage resort called Landmark on the Beach located on the gorgeous shores of Georgian Bay. We enjoyed helping people make their summer beach vacations awesome. We still own a beachfront cottage and love sharing it with family and friends. As Canadians, we use our local cottage only during the summer months. Wouldn't it be wonderful, we asked ourselves, to take advantageous of beautiful summer weather all year long? We christened our Caribbean 'cottage' Little Landmark in honor of our mum who created our family business and all those cottage memories. We love visiting Little Landmark where we are making new memories with a new generation of Lambs. What St. Lucia memories will you take home with you?

After we visited St. Lucia, we fell in love with this beautiful country—a small island that gave us a big welcome! When the opportunity to purchase a new condo from the builder came along in Villas on the Green, we jumped at the chance to own a piece of paradise. We use our Caribbean getaway for one month every winter. We rent a car (really affordable and easy to arrange) and divide our time between touring the island, playing golf, enjoying the nightlife, and just being beach bums. The rest of the year, we offer this beautiful condo to you as your own Caribbean home away from home.

What makes this villa unique

The experience of a staying at a luxury Caribbean resort is like none other—but so is the price! And, no matter how luxurious, you have the inevitable limitations of hotel life. Little Landmark combines the conveniences of home with the advantages of a resort.

Rise early for your day trip to the Pitons by private taxi (so affordable, ask us!) or sleep in and surf the internet over coffee. Condo vacations represent the best of both worlds, combining the wonders and indulgences of being on holiday with the pleasures, conveniences, and affordability of home.

Everything we expected and more.

Before we even left on our vacation Kevin was always available via email to answer all of our questions, and we had a few. He gave us a plethora of good information not only about his villa but St. Lucia. Kevin made the trip so much easier.

Upon our arrival at the villa, everything was as advertised and more. We were very warmly greeted upon our arrival and we were given great information not only about the villa itself but also local things to do and the “go to guy” for taxi service. Since our arrival was not until Friday evening, Debbie (our concierge) was very kind and picked up some pastries, coffee and milk for our first breakfast and had them in the villa.

The villa was perfect. It was in great condition and it was everything it promised to be. We were very pleased upon seeing it for the first time. All of the amenities were great, kitchen was fully stocked with all appliances. Bathrooms were terrific and there were plenty of towels, etc. The electrical system is 220 volt but we were very pleased to find that the villa also had 110 volt outlets for our equipment from home, (laptop, iPad, hair dryer etc.). The only issue was that the light in the plunge pool wasn’t working but that was fixed as soon as we reported it.

As Canadians we were a little surprised that homes in St. Lucia don’t have screens on the windows but as long as we closed up the bedrooms late in the afternoon bugs were no problem.

Taxi services into Rodney Bay and/or Gros Islet was very easy and affordable. We had hoped to rent a car but after seeing the driving on the island I think taxis was the wise choose.

We felt extremely safe and comfortable at this location. We were just a few minutes walk to Cas En Bas Beach and we enjoyed the walk a few times. Being right on the golf course was nice too. We quite often took a walk along the course and walked over to the club house a few times for drinks and lunch.

The plunge pool was just lovely, and we enjoyed it numerous time every day. The communal pool was great, very well maintained. Nice for lounging about and going for a swim. The grounds were very well kept and always being groomed.

Great place for a relaxed stay.

We had the pleasure of staying at this condo for a month. This is a great unit for a quiet getaway/retreat. It was clean and comfortable. We spent most of our home time on the comfortable chairs on the back patio, so much that we rarely used the large tv or living room furniture. The grounds were well manicured and spotless. It is in a nice area, just a couple minutes away from beaches and Rodney bay/Gros Islet which is full of eateries etc. Deborah was friendly, amazing and helped with any questions we had and dealt with things promptly. You should feel safe in the area as there is security.

Suggested restaurants - #1 is Dukes that is open on fri and sat night in Gros islet. It is super busy on fri night and sat night is a bit quieter. Best bang for your buck and delicious.

A very quiet peaceful setting

The villa is very comfortable with everything you need for a self catering stay, comfortable beds and good aircon in the bedrooms, but non in the living areas, there were fans in all rooms, but the motors in them were very noisy, so couldn’t use the one in the bedroom at night.

Debbie was fantastic, always on hand for any little problem and manager of a very good fish place on Friday and Saturday nights called Dukes, which was excellent.

I found the showers in the villa were almost useless, really poor flow and no power, but Debbie did warn us of this. For the first 3 or 4 nights we were woken at 3am by a running water noise, but we discovered it was the splash pool from the neighbours property, so we managed to turn the power off to it and sleep much better, we also let the neighbour know about the problem, which seemed to be just the pool was not full enough of water, and so bubbled above the jets, just needed filling, but they hadn’t done it before we left.

The villa was a little isolated, so definitely need a car , but with the car only 10 mins from Rodney bay, but this made it very relaxed and quiet. The pool was very nice and not used by many people.

If you want a quiet relaxed holiday this is the villa for you, it’s very nice.

WiFi was ok and tv very good.

Great place!

As first time visitors to St. Lucia, we were fortunate enough to rent this super place in the Rodney Bay Area. Close to town, beaches and restaurants, but secluded and secure. The villa was spacious, clean and comfortable. Debbie, who 'manages' the villa was terrific. She was there to greet us on our arrival and was full of suggestions for local activities. Would definitely return!

Great place, will recommend.

What I liked:

Quiet, scenic setting

(Mostly) well maintained villa, clean and functional.

Friendly and helpful local support.

Secure setting: was not concerned about safety at any point.

Room For Improvement:

WiFi connectivity poor, esp for a place that accommodates 4-6.

Cable non-functional: walk with an HDMI cable to connect your laptop to the TV

Private pool to Villa is not a jacuzzii: circulating jets are not continuous.

AC was non-functional for part of stay but was eventually rectified.

FERAL CATS! St Lucia seems to have an obsession with country music and feral cats. Expect these furry flea traps to come meowing once they hear movement in the kitchen.

Owner's Response: This is very good feedback for me. The praise is definitely appreciated. I shall have to look at the WiFi as this is the first time anyone has mentioned it. Along with the cable tv. (same provider) They are in the process of converting the cable systems from analogue to digital. I am working with the company to rectify this as soon as possible. As for the pool. It is advertised as exactly that! A pool, not a jacuzzi. If the guest had looked at the hospitality information, they would have read very specifically that the jets are for filtering the water only, and stay on only long enough to accomplish this task.
