We also offer cleaning services at a reasonable rate for rentals longer than one week. As noted, we do not allow smoking or pets. We are animal lovers ourselves but have familial asthma and allergies. In our sons case, particularly to dogs. We also do not allow burning of candles. They just present too many possibilities for accidents. We ask that outdoor fires be kept to the designated fire pit. In relation to the indoor fireplace, we ask that our visitors always use the fireplace screen provided. It is a Rumford fireplace used for heat and by design has a shallow hearth. The screen is essential for safety.

Returning Group Loved This Cabin Even More The Second Time

  • 5 of 5

There may not be a more relaxing place on the planet.

For the second year in a row, a group of 8-10 guys used this beautiful log cabin as the home base for us to spend some time together. Though this home can be enjoyed in so many different ways, because we were leaving wives and kids at home, we were looking for a place that could accomplish the following:

- Privacy

- Lakefront (kayaking, fishing, RC boat, etc.)

- Firepit

- Space for lawn games

- Large enough to comfortably accommodate our group

- Large cooking area

- A "rustic" feel

Well Anthea's home has delivered all this and more for the second time now. It's on a large lot at the end of the lake so there's plenty of privacy - it may be the best location on the lake. Though there are several kayaks up there already, we brought several more this year and really enjoyed the lake.

The giant firepit made an unseasonably cool summer weekend so nice at nighttime. After spending the days outside in the sun, having a place to spend some time there at night before retreating to bed is fantastic.

When we did go inside - to cook, sleep, or even take a break from the sun - there is so much space. And the log cabin certainly met the rustic feel, but it is absolutely stunning. It is not rustic in an old-fashioned sense, the newer cabin is just beautiful and no detail was overlooked in its recent build.

Northern New England is known for its beauty and serenity, but this may be the best place to truly enjoy it. Every amenity possible is there already and you feel like you're at your own private piece of heaven. Book this place and don't look back!

Perfect house in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the cabin for the second time this August and it was as wonderful as we remembered. Very well stocked with the right combination of being away from it all and having plenty not far away. This time we were able to take in Circus Smirks, the distillery just down the road, Goodrich's Maple Farm in addition to Cabot and farmer's market and restaurants in Montpelier. The pond is so peaceful especially in the quiet of early morning.

  • 5 of 5

Highly recommend this place. The owner was gracious and accessible. The house was incredibly well stocked, very comfortable, and incredibly tranquil and on a beautiful property. Loved the peaceful pond and the ability to kayak and paddle board right from the house. The house is also close to wonderful forest hikes.

Quiet, beautiful, remote site. Gorgeous, cozy yet open cabin on a beautiful Vermont pond.

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful cabin in the heart of Vermont. A welcoming, cozy and rustic cabin on a private, wooded lot situated on a shallow, quiet cove to gorgeous Pecham Pond. A great place to get away and enjoy the peace and beauty of central Vermont.
