Now with central air conditioning! This is one of two carriage house apartments next door to my home (see one-bedroom listing #372092), in the heart of the Santa Fe historic district. Both apartments are newly renovated inside by one of Santa Fe's leading architects, but retain the charm of an historic building on the outside. Turn off a quiet neighborhood street into a long drive to off-street parking in front of the apartment, nestled among lovely mature trees. This unit is two story, with a bedroom and bath on the ground floor and living area, kitchen, dining area, master bedroom and bath on second level, looking out to the trees through several light-filled windows. Sliding doors lead from the ground level bedroom to a private patio.
Enjoy the charm of living in a real Santa Fe neighborhood but with the convenience of a few short blocks to the Plaza or Canyon Road art district.
Keywords: Exciting new contemporary renovation of a 1915 carriage house in the heart of Santa Fe's most historic district, contemporary interior, off street, quiet neighborhood, parking, charming, two story unit, air conditioned, private patio, light and airy, gourmet kitchen, washer/dryer, steps to galleries and restaurants.
Great place. Wonderful location. Nice walk to the Plaza and Canyon Road, as well as excellent restaurants.
A beautiful unit in an unbeatable location. Easy walk to the Plaza and Canyon Road, yet very quiet. For two friends on a getaway, it was perfect and had everything we needed (although a dishwasher would have been nice). But I have to say that for two couples, it would have felt very cramped. The living area is small and four people would be tripping over one another.
This little condo was very comfortable and an easy walking distance to the square. Nice beds and very clean. The only thing I can complain about is the water pressure in the showers. It was a dribble... But overall it was very, very nice and I would stay there again.
Location, comfort, convenience... this casa has it all. Close to the plaza, Canyon Road, good shopping, good food, history and culture all within easy walking distance. With a nicely outfitted kitchen, comfortable beds and convenient washer and dryer, it was a perfect getaway accommodation for a mother-daughter getaway in Santa Fe. Can't wait to return!
We rented the condo/apartment while in town for a wedding. We had 2 couples in our group and the space worked out perfect! It was walking distance to the plaza as well as all the studios and restaurants off Canyon Blvd. The space is little, but very cozy. The attached patio was cozy, and the patio off the parking was even better. The kitchen worked great for cooking our meals, as we wanted to save money and not eat out every meal.
The space is all newly renovated. And is very very nice.
The only issue we had was there wasn't great water pressure in the bathroom shower upstairs.
My husband and I took my parents (in their 70's and 80's who don't drive much anymore) on a road trip from Denver to Sante Fe for a long weekend. This town home could not have been more perfect for all of us! Having traveled through out Europe, our first thoughts were how it reminded us of staying in a place during our travels over there. Everything was perfect and so well equipped we didn't have to think about anything. It was very clean, modern, comfortable and just enough room for everybody. The location was perfect to walk an easy few blocks to stroll to the plaza to shop, dine and see some beautiful churches. My 82 year old dad was even able to do it without a problem. The only downside I would say is the unit only has a portable air conditioner in the upstairs living area and we happened to be there on a very warm weekend (100 degrees) so sleeping was a bit tough for a night. I would not count that against staying here! It was a great place and we would return without hesitation.
2 blocks from Canyon Road gallery district. 3 blocks from Historic Plaza with museums, Native American crafts, convention center, restaurants, galleries. Day trips to pueblos, ruins, traditional Spanish villages, Taos.
