We had a great time in this comfy cabin. It was equiped with just about everything we needed. It was super close to the downtown area, so if we forgot anything, we could easily get it. We almost stayed an extra night! We would stay in it again.
The cabin was just what we were looking for. John was flexible with our check in and out which was great since we had a 7 hour drive each way. Everything was right where it was advertised it would be. The screened-in porch was great for hanging out on and the living room was cozy with the wood stove. It was close to the Causeway in Naples for restaurants and Long Lake and the Trickey Pond access points were great for hanging by the water. Definitely would stay again!
Great overall, very nice cabin and the area is nice. Wish I knew beforehand that we would have to carry the canoe quite a distance to get it into the water. Area of Naples is ok, need to drive quite a distance to get to the towns. Had a lot of fun on the water, drove an hour to Portland, and 1.5 hrs to Mt Washington in new Hampshire.
Nice little camp. Close to boat launch and great amenities! Looking forward to visiting again!
Let me begin by saying, it's sad to be home... Certainly not nearly enough time spent in Maine...
This was a last minute vacation plan for my wife and I along with our four children (ages 15 months, 5, 8, and 10)... Everything in the area was booked for the time frame that we were seeking...
My wife found this cabin and you really can't beat the price especially on such short notice... John was always pleasant to talk to and always willing and able to answer any and all questions... The cabin was great, cozy and rustic in a great area... Able to allow my 8 year old and 10 year old to walk to the ROW access points from the cabin... We all enjoyed the lake, the kayaks, the swimming, the fishing, and game nights on the screened porch, also can't forget to mention the serenity and peacefulness during the early mornings and with the Loons late at night... A great place to hold and cherish time with family as well as creating memories...
The kitchen was well equipped with everything you really need, although we did over pack and used most of our own supplies, however the fry pans and coffee cups were a life saver...! Nothing like being able to grill right from the porch...
Only con I can think of was the hornets which I am aware of, are an issue this time of season in Maine... My wife, our 5 year old and 10 year old were stung...
Friendly people to say the least, which being from Massachusetts is a rare thing to find... Please for anyone who stays, also check out Lakeside Dairy Bar, fantastic ice cream...!
Thank you so much for such a great stay...!!! Hope to see you again someday... (Although the cabin is for sale)... If I was only closer to retirement I might be able to persuade the boss into a purchase for a second home...
The Cyr Family 8/22/2016 - 8/26/2016
We rented this camp very last minute and were happy with the accommodations. The camp is a good size with a great large screened in porch. The furniture was older and outdated however still comfortable and there were plenty of seating. We had our large family cookout one night and everyone had a seat on the porch, we were all very comfortable.
There was a minor issues when we arrived at the camp however we contacted the owner and by the end of the day the issue was resolved. We really appreciated the prompt response from the owner and the professionalism.
We have family in the Lake Region area and the location was between our family and all the attractions which was very convenient! We would stay there again in the future.
