-- We typically require 3-night weekends for advance stays, unless other bookings overlap. We do make exceptions closer to arrival dates for remaining inventory, so please feel free to inquire.

-- We normally don't book more than 6 months in advance, with preference given for longer stay groups (5+ nights) until 60 days prior to arrival.

We'd love to welcome you into our newly renovated, upscale Chicago condo for short or long term stays. Our ideal downtown location is just two subway stops (~10-12 minutes) from the loop, Michigan Ave. shopping, museums & Lake Michigan. Other neighborhoods & nightlife areas such as Bucktown, Wicker Park, River North and Lincoln Park are nearby. Some great River West bars & restaurants are also walking distance from our place.

This is a private 3-BR, 2-BA condo of a three-unit building. (It is one floor below our other listing in the same building, #3656716. These may be combined for larger groups.)

It features new stainless appliances, new wide-plank bamboo floors, modern fixtures, custom tile baths, a jacuzzi, exposed brick, wi-fi internet, big screen TV, dishwasher, air conditioning, garbage disposal, washer/dryer, and a huge outdoor deck! Parking is free and easy along our street, and we also rent a garage bay if needed.

Each of the three bedrooms has queen beds, large closets and new carpeting. A premium (Room & Board) queen sofabed is also located in the living room, so the home sleeps 8 comfortably. There are 2 full baths (one in suite in the master bedroom), each with custom tile and vanities.

From airports: we are a quick, easy and direct 40 minute train ride to O'hare airport, or single change from Midway airport. Our house is just 1 block from the Chicago Ave. blue line subway stop, and Chicago / Milwaukee bus lines. Taxis are also abundant in our neighborhood.

Several restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. are nearby and within walking distance. Some of our favorites include:

- The Dawson -- new venue, top-rated cocktails, outdoor bar, top dining spot

- Piccolo Sogno and La Scarola -- top Italian

- Butterfly Thai & Sushi -- our favorite neighborhood spot!

- Frontier -- organic and unique meats

- Matchbox -- our favorite bar, and the smallest in all Chicago -- top martinis!

- Sushi X -- small & funky sushi spot on adjacent block

We are 20+ year Chicago veterans, and are happy to recommend attractions, nightlife (some of our friends are club owners), tips on getting around, etc. Just let us know how we can help!

Great for our group!

Nice property on the outskirts of the city. One block from the subway. Easy into the city via subway or Lyft. Apartment was nice, beds comfortable. Hans was super easy to work with! He was very flexible on arrival and departure about holding our luggage as we had a very early arrival at O'Hare. The only negative was the street noise. Be prepared on weeknights for a lot of traffic noise in the bedrooms. Saturday and Sunday were much quieter. Overall a nice stay!

Owner's Response: Just to clarify, our location is in downtown Chicago (River West neighborhood), just beyond the central Loop business district -- not on the outskirts of the city. We are just 2 subway stops to the Loop. And yes, being in the city, there will be some standard rush hour/weekday street traffic. However, evenings & weekends are generally quiet, as we are not located directly adjacent louder bar/restaurants (though many restaurants are walkable nearby). Thanks again for your stay!

Perfect for us!

We came to town for our daughter's wedding and needed a comfortable spot with room for all the wedding stuff, and a few family members. This condo was just the ticket! We stayed 5 nights and it felt like home - close to our venue, lots of restaurants within walking distance, and comfortable beds and furnishings. Everything was in good shape and parking on the street was not a problem. Hans was great to work with and went above and beyond to make our time there hassle-free, which is HUGE for a bride and family 4 days before the wedding. I'm not interested in putting on another big event, but I would certainly stay here again when in Chicago!

Two Family Chicago Vacation

The pictures are exactly what you get- Thank you! Our two families (6 people total) had a great time in Chicago thanks to the owner and his team. We arrived early by train from Indiana and he made sure to accommodate us even though the train schedule changed on us. They stayed in prompt and friendly communication the entire time. The apartment/condo was in a great location within a block of the blue line and bus transportation. We traveled all over Chicago with ease of getting home at anytime. The condo was super clean with all amenities one could need. Plenty of space for all of us to gather as one group and plenty of room for everyone to sleep. There was even extra air mattresses, pillows and blankets if needed! The deck was beautiful and spacious for night gathering or early morning coffee. The Windy City Cafe is highly recommended for breakfast or lunch and is just a block away, as well as CVS, Subway, and a pizza place. I'm sure we'll travel to Chicago again in the near future and will definitely return to this condo. Thanks for being super cooperative with our early arrival!!!!

Convenient and Comfortable

Right off of the interstate for easy access coming into town. Coffee Shop, breakfast, pizza, convenience stores, and the train within 5 minutes walk. Uber's took less then 5 minutes to arrive and were ~6 bucks to get into downtown. Owner was very responsive and helpful during our stay. There is street parking available on Elston but it can be tricky to get a spot depending upon when you are arriving. Would stay again!

Convenient place to stay

Very convenient place to stay outside of downtown. 1 block from the Chicago station on the Blue Line and bus lines on Chicago and Milwaukee streets. We caught the subway to Wrigley Field and the Museum Campus, and caught the bus to the Navy Pier.

If driving, free street parking is usually available on Elston Street, and on-ramps to the I-90 freeway are close by.

The unit is well-furnished with an updated kitchen and bathrooms and comfortable beds. The unit was very clean and well-maintained, showing pride of ownership.

Small nit-picks are the AC temperature setting had to be adjusted everyday for separate time periods (it didn't seem to remember previous settings); the steps up to the front door are very steep; the windows in the living room could use coverings for privacy.

The owner (Hans) was easy to work with and very responsive to questions prior to and during our stay.

We would stay here again and recommend to friends.

Served us well

The description in the ad is accurate. The unit is on the first floor with an open kitchen/dining/living room. The unit was clean when we arrived. Hans was easy to reach and worked with us on check-in/out times and was prompt in handling our questions. The unit is well located in the city and although we had a car we walked to the metro to attend a Cubs game. Far better than driving and trying to park. The deck was quite nice and we had our morning coffee there more than once. One drawback was that there was nowhere for putting away clothing other than hanging items in the closet. I left most things in my suitcase on the floor. Also, the windows in the living room could use some drapes or window coverings to allow for someone sleeping in the sofa bed. Being on the first floor and on the corner of a busy street, it can get noisy – especially in the morning. I think we all ended up using ear plugs when sleeping, which really helped. Overall, our family of six adults were very satisfied with the unit and would stay there again.
