Exceeded expectations!!!

  • 5 of 5

This home is absolutely stunning. As my first rental using HomeAway, this property has set the standards high! Everything you could possibly need the owners provide. Our group ended up being much smaller than we had planned so we were worried about having so much space, but the home still feels so welcoming and cozy even though it sleeps so many! I would 100% recommend this property to anyone! Our group is hoping to plan another trip for the summer!

Happy Place Found!

  • 5 of 5

I've stayed at this house several times now, as I am friends with one of the sons of the couple who owns the unit. I can't properly describe how relaxing and impressive the property is, and will just say that all the other 5 star reviews are spot on.

First of all, the location is ideal. It's a 3 minute drive to the main lodge at the ski resort, less than 10 minute drive to the spectacular golf course, less than 10 minute drive to downtown Bethel with its cute little shops and delicious bars/restaurants, within walking distance to the Matterhorn bar which is the go-to apres ski spot in the area, and is also nearby to countless other hiking trails, rivers, swimming holes/waterfalls, and everything else you would want up in the mountains. Even though it's close to all these places, the house is in a quiet and natural setting that will leave you feeling relaxed and peaceful.

The house is great in any season, whether you're skiing in the winter, peeping foliage in the fall, or hiking/swimming/kayaking/golfing in the spring or summer.

My favorite part about the house is how it feels like a home, not a rental. The owners have done a great job of stocking the house with everything you need to cook, play games, or just relax and enjoy yourself. All items in the house are top quality and they don't skimp on anything.

This house truly is my "happy place found", and I always look forward to trips up there.

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our family of eight adults and eight little ones from the ages of seven to two months had a wonderful time! This was our first visit to this area of Maine and Four Seasons Reality and Louise were very helpful, answering so many questions! The house was beautiful, clean and more than enough space for all. We loved the hot tub as well as the river running in front of the house down a winding path. The people in the area are very helpful and there is an abundance of things to do there.

Relaxing, spacious vacation spot!

  • 5 of 5

What a great house! The location is really nice - easy to get to, but nice and quiet. There is plenty of room, with 3 spacious bedrooms on the top floor and two on the bottom floor with kitchen, dining room and great room on the middle floor. The master bedroom has a wonderful huge master bath. Double sinks to make it easy to share. The owners have appointed the bathrooms with nice towels that really wrap around you (one of the pet peeves I have about some hotels). There is another full bathroom upstairs for the two other bedrooms to share.

The mud room is great - tons of space for skis, boots, shoes, backpacks - everything you need for outdoor fun in the mountains or just to keep your bags, etc. out of the way. Nice large kitchen with everything you need. I was impressed with the quality of the pots and pans, glasses, plates, silverware, etc. as well as the quantity. No skimping here - plenty of room and no shortage of items. The dining room is also very nice and looks out over the river. Plenty of room on the handy kitchen island which also has stools for extra seating if needed.

Downstairs there are plenty of things to entertain all ages. Shuffleboard is quite addicting! And there is fussball, a poker table, etc. Also a hot tub and firepit. What more could you ask for?

There is plenty of parking and a two-car garage to get out of the elements. Very close to the Sunday River ski area and not far from the white mountains. Many nice trails nearby. A beautiful house in a great spot! Can't wait to go back!

Rivers Edge Retreat

  • 4 of 5

We booked The Rivers Edge property for our annual "Camping trip" to the Mountains. This is an impressive home with all of the amenities in a beautiful wooded setting. Since we had retired the Tents a few years ago, but still make the trip to North Country, this was one of the best homes we have rented. Four seasons was extremely helpful and responsive regarding any questions I had.

The house is well Maintained and easily accommodated our large Group of nine . We enjoyed the Horseshoe pit and outdoor fire pit as well as it's close proximity to the Sunday River in the back yard.

We played Golf twice and scheduled a fantastic Kayak trip on the Androscoggin River all within minutes from the home. We are already looking forward to our return trip.

Great fall vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

We cannot say enough about our extended weekend at this great property. The house is spectacular and beautifully set up for any group, large or small. Clearly the owners know how two make it easy and convenient, from comfortable beds to a well-equipped kitchen.

The location is superb. Right on the river that bears the resort's name, with year-round views of the mountain and the river. Our visit included chair lift rides to experience the off-season majesty of the mountain and a hike to a waterfall in the area. The foliage was spectacular - int he area, and right around the house.

The drive into Bethel is only a few minutes and full of unique discoveries. It is worth a visit in any season with a classic New England village green, beautiful homes and several good restaurants. We would especially recommend going through town to find Paradise Road (bears to the left just out of town) that follows a high mountain ridge with fabulous views to the east and west. Truly a treat at sunrise or sunset.

We can't say enough about the property or the area and can't wait to return.
