Wonderful home close to it all!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great time on our family vacation staying here. The home is very spacious with an open floor plan, perfect for kids. It is close proximity to everything! The house was very clean and we enjoyed cooking dinner in the kitchen. We loved having two dining tables so the kids could all eat together. A great home for relaxing, playing board games, and hanging out with the family after a day on the slopes. The 5 bedrooms offered plenty of space and having 3 bathrooms was a plus! Thanks again for a wonderful stay! Would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a kid and pet friendly vacation rental.

a lot of obstacles to overcome with this stay !!

  • 1 of 5

When we pulled up to this property the driveway was plowed in one strip, leaving the sides where we parked full of ice, and the from about halfway to the end of the driveway was all ICE . As soon as we opened the doors downstairs there was an overwhelming smell of sewerage . The owner never advised us on this matter or even to notify us as to see if we still wanted to stay there or not or make other arrangements, when I approached the owner she said she wasn't aware of the situation but yet we had to let her plumber in our rental time to measure the bathroom downstairs that had the water leak. There was not one comfortable bed in that place, we had to go buy air mattress and when we moved the beds they had trash underneath them. The blind in the master bedroom was mangled about 10 inches down. the other bathroom upstairs the towel rack was broken. The furniture in the living room was deplorable with green stuffing showing from a huge whole in the couch, the recliner didn't work properly and you got stuck in it. When I went to put groceries in the refrigerator it was dirty, I had to wipe the whole thing down , and the oven was disgusting ( like it hadn't been cleaned in years ) the top of the stove and the front of the microwave has something splattered on it, I had to clean that as well ( in the handbook it stated to call someone if we weren't happy with the cleaning, but after a 2.5 hour drive we just wanted to unload and have fun. The spacious open kitchen / living room was great and we spent a lot of time on the long table playing games and our meals there...Could of been a great place if it was kept up. I read all the reviews before booking this property and someone before us said it smelt musty in the basement and the owner replied she took care of it, I did see a newer dehumidifier there but, the water leak should of been taken care of before we got there or an alternative should of been offered to us, as I felt it was unhealthy.

Owner's Response: I am shocked, appalled and stunned by this review. The folks that rented the week before you gave us a 5 star rating! In all my years of having this vacation home I have NEVER received a negative review. On the contrary I have received numerous great reviews and personal emails letting me know how much they enjoyed the home. Most recently I received a thank you for having the most comfortable beds which is due to the fact that we replaced all of the beds within the last 6 months so I do apologize if they did not meet your needs but I have heard positive feedback on this. I have also received wonderful feedback on the furniture/living room sets that we have, so again I am sorry that they did not meet your needs. As far as the sewerage, I did not advise you of this because there was no smell or issue. When you contacted me for the first time which was a week after your stay to let me know about this, my husband went to the home immediately and did not smell sewerage. The person that came to the home was NOT a plumber, he was a carpenter and we contacted you while you were at the house to see if it would be ok for the carpenter to come in and take measurements of the room and floor that we wanted to re-do with new paint and flooring as we update rooms annualy. If we had a leak in the home, I can assure you that 1. I would have taken care of it prior to your arrival and 2. If for some reason I could not resolve the issue I would have communicated to you immediately with options. As far as the blinds in the master bedroom, you are right they were broken and I apologize for the inconvenience. I can tell you that they were replaced immediately. Our plow service came highly recommended to us and according to feedback he has done an outstanding job plowing and sanding the driveway. I will however provide your feedback to him. I will also provide your feedback to the cleaning service however I will say that numerous renters have sent appreciation emails about the home being so clean. My mission is to make everyone's home away truely feel like your home away while on vacation. It saddens me that you did not enjoy the home.

Very nice home in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Very friendly and responsive owners. House has a nice central kitchen/family room and was very comfortable for our party of 10. It is large enough to afford privacy with multiple families. The location is very convenient for both summer and winter activities.

A great place to stay for a large group.

  • 5 of 5

We were eight adults and two children and had plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed and we loved that there were tv's, fans and air conditioners in almost every room. A great place to stay for a large group.

  • 5 of 5

Loved the open concept of the up stairs and the finished lower level for the kids worked out really well . Having the screenporch was an added bonus with plenty of room . Mabel was very helpful with any questions. Definitely a revisit in the future.
