About the property

All Around, Rome - A Casa Di Lavinia

The apartment has a bedroom with a double bed, and a comfortable sofa bed that sleeps two in the living room; the living room also has a fully equipped kitchen corner.

Both rooms have access to the shower equipped bathroom, through a small corridor where you will find a three door cupboard.

The bedroom is bright and spacious; leaning out of the two double glazed windows, you will see via frattina on one side, and via mario de’ fiori on the other. The living room gets its light from the window on the via mario de’ fiori side.

The kitchen corner has everything you may need for cooking “at home”.

The apartments central position, about 50 metres from piazza di spagna, situates a casa di lavinia in rome’s most elegant and exclusive area, destination of all of rome’s international tourists. Here you will find most of the capital’s main attractions: churches, basilicas, fountains, archaeological remains and museums. The boutiques of all the italian and international fashion designers can be visited in rome’s famous shopping streets.

A few steps away, the choice is yours: the spanish steps, villa borghese and it’s splendid museum, piazza del popolo and it’s churches, where you can see some of caravaggio’s paintings, the trevi fountain, the palazzo del quirinale, the campidoglio, the roman forum, the colosseum, piazza navona, castel sant’angelo, via condotti… and we shall say no more, in order to let you savour discovering the places you can find only footsteps away from our apartments, on a slow, pleasant walk for example, without needing to take the public transports.

If you wish to see further destinations, at a few minutes walk from the apartments there is a subway station, many bus stops, and a permanent taxi stop.

Good choice!

Attractive, well-equipped apartment (including the kitchen) in a great location. Hosts were pleasant and helpful. Good washing machine, but only a rack for drying clothes, which took a full day.

Great apartment in an amazing area

  • 5 of 5

Overall we loved the apartment and its location. It has a small kitchen for eating in, but with so many great places to eat in Rome, we didn’t use it. The bathroom was clean and updated! One thing to note is the mattress. It could use a foam topper or be replaced.

Well equipped, clean, spacious & great location.

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was perfect for our travel in Rome!

Much bigger than I expected it to be and equipped with everything we needed. Clean and well maintained. The windows could be opened during the day to get a breeze and hear the bustle of city life and at night it was quiet with the windows closed and the AC on. The location is very convenient, around the corner from The Spanish Steps, Metro, and a few blocks to Trevi.

The only thing I would recommend is adding another mirror, a full length mirror behind the door would be perfect.

Great Location and friendly owner!

  • 3 of 5

We were met by Carlo, the owner who is very nice and helpful. The location of this apartment is very close to the Spanish Steps in Piazza de Spagna, and other cafe's and restaurants. You'll want to take a taxi if going to other locations, such as Colisseum, and, if you've never been to Italy, please know that you can't flag down a taxi, they will ignore you; you must call in advance (unless you get lucky and they decide to stop for you!). It was somewhat warm at the beginning of May, and Italy (probably most of Europe) do not allow air air conditioning to be on until the summer months, so your windows will need to stay opened. (I believe this only to be in rental apartments and not hotels). Since we were traveling as two adult women, one took the bedroom, and I took the fold-out couch which is in the kitchen area, which was sufficient, but we probably should have each had our own bedroom. If you are a couple sleeping in the same bedroom, it will be just right. One thing to note was that this apartment is up 4 flights of very steep stairs, and being older we found this very difficult as there is no lift. Carlo helped with the luggage on the way in, but I found it very difficult when checking out. We are older women in our 50's so probably not a big deal for someone younger! All in all, we felt very safe here, and a perfect location in Rome for us.

Second time we stayed at this property. Location is great Anna arranged our limousine ride from the airport to the apparent and then to the cruise terminal. Both rides right on time.

Owner's Response: Hi John, in Italy we use arabic number 0 for ground floor and therefore the apartment is on second floor. I know, when someone is tired the stairs are difficult. Thanks for your review. Anna
