Interesting

  • 2 of 5

Sadly, i wish I am able to write a good review on this. Upon arrival on the property there was a huge patch of ice. This should have been cleaned before arrival. So I had to go out of my water and pay 30 dollars of salt to clean the driveway. Upon entering the house there were a few concerns. There were clearly doing construction on the house. There were some spots on the walls that needed to be painted. The garage was damaged, there was a huge spot of paint outside on the stairs that leads you to the firepit. There were cups, cigarette buds, plates, and glass around the property. The light near the jacuzzi did not work. I sadly booked my trip with Grande Leisure Travel. Mind you I booked this on a holiday weekend and the travel people were aware of the issues about the house. I asked if I was able to check out at 12:30 instead of 11. They email me back saying that they wanted to charge me 50 dollars if i wanted to stay for the extra hour and a half. I honestly feel that this company is only money hungry. If possible avoid booking through Grande Leisure Travel at all cost! They are horrible at responding in time and clearly they are just money hungry. Next time, they should allow customers to book homes that are NOT under construction.

Owner's Response: Hi Pano, We apologize. But we've been working on the house for quite sometime, making changes and perfecting it. I am sure you understand that large scale changes cannot happen overnight. But if you give us another chance in the future, we will promise to make it up to you. GLT

Great house but smaller than expected

  • 4 of 5

Had a VERY fun time at this house. Beautiful location, lots of amenities, and I liked that all the beds were queens. The house is smaller than it looks in the pictures and the kitchen is tiny. Nothing in the garage so we used it to park the car. Everything else was very close to the area (mountains, trails, stores) so that was awesome. I would rent again!

A bit underwhelming for the price...

  • 2 of 5

I would give this place 2.5 stars. Rented this cabin for a bachelor weekend for 11 guys. We are all mid to late 30's, blue collar workers with families and jobs and important stuff like that. What I will say off the bat is the pictures of this property are pretty deceiving. They paint a picture of space and rustic elegance and that was not quite the case when you see it in person. The cabin is much smaller than it seems in the pictures and the outdoor space is poorly maintained. There are 5 small bedrooms each with a full size bed and though the cabin says it sleeps 15, unless you're bringing air mattresses, there's no way it's sleeping 15. No pull out couches but there was one cot that two different guys tried sleeping on but both said they'd be better off sleeping on the deck as it was not comfortable at all. Bathrooms were functional but small. Poor water flow in downstairs sink. In terms of the ambiance, there are a mish mash of things in the cabin that are dated and waiting to be fixed. A/C is window and floor units. The 3 acres that is advertised is 75% wooded which wasn't really an issue, but I feel like that should be disclosed in the description. The grounds were in rough shape and overall neglected. Tall "grass" in the back yard with overgrown shrubs. Whatever beds were there were covered in weeds and muck and just neglected. I'm a landscaper so I have an eye for this kind of stuff. The deck is large and nice for entertaining but sooner rather than later someone is going to injure themselves from the rotting wood in many places. I'm not exxagerating this either. There were at least two railings towards the far end of the deck that are completely rotted and holding on for dear life. Overall the deck just looks ratty and worn and neglected and there are weeds and thorns growing in some areas through it. Many outdoor lights did not work even after trying to switch bulbs and play with switches. We wanted to play quoits after dark and couldn't because of this. Hot tub was nice and seemed maintained and the grills were a plus because we did a lot of cooking. Location is convenient and accessible. Pots/pans, appliances, etc were a big bonus. Bottom line, we all felt the same way. It was functional but for the money we were expecting a lot more. It did the job, but I personally would not stay here again. If being charged this much, fix the deck, nicer appointments inside, and take care of the grounds. Just seemed like a money maker to me.

Enjoyed staying in this secluded lodge

  • 5 of 5

We decided to visit the place around mid summer this year. This is a cozy 5 bedroom and 2 bath rental home filled with fun and excitement. The house was very clean and neatly arranged when we visited. The fully furnished house is great to enjoy during the holidays. The living room had 50' LCD TV just as the listing said but we hardly got time to enjoy that as we were fascinated with other features of this home. I personally loved the outdoor activites nearby and the punching speed bags in the garage. Out BBQ nights were amazing too. A friend of mine had visited last year and she recommended this place to me. I will make sure to refer this to many other friends of mine.
