About Sean Lynes
We have always wanted to have a cabin in the woods we could share with friends and family and we finally built that dream on a very special piece of property!
Sean Lynes purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Sean Lynes chose Hillsboro
I had been looking for years for just the right property for us. This heavily wooded ranch on a lake and with so much room has allowed us to build our dream cabins.

We had a nice stay at the Cedar Springs cabin. It was just as described and stocked with everything we needed. Comfy beds, hot showers, full size kitchen, plenty of space for our family of five. It was very quiet and peaceful sitting outside. We took a walk down to the lake and saw deer tracks. There is a steep place but has a sturdy rope to help you up and down. The kids had fun skipping rocks across the lake. There are lots of stumps in the lake, so we decided not to attempt the canoe. The drive to Waco is about 40 minutes, we took the back road through Aquilla to avoid traffic on 35. We will definitely keep this cabin in mind for our next trip to Waco. Thanks, Sean!
Fun for all in our group age 1-65
Wife and I have stayed here before on a romantic getaway. This was a large family gathering to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday which was last month. Arizona, Colorado, and Minnesota are the states our guests came from. We rented 2 cabins due to group size. 7 minors aged 1-14 were NEVER bored. Fishing, canoeing, foosball, puzzles, trail walking and more games that we brought along. 1st trip I've not heard "there's nothing to do". Fixer Upper fans, it's not a bad drive to the silos. Great BBQ in Whitney. Everyone was comfortable, even when we were all in 1 cabin, we were not crowded one bit. Sean has been great to work with on both stays here. We will stay here again if we plan on being nearby. Perfect setting for any kind of gathering with any age group.
Thanks for your wonderful review. We are incredibly glad you had a wonderful time!
We loved staying here for our mother/son retreat. The hardest thing was getting the canoe up and down from the lake, there has to be a better way. The spiders were EVERYWHERE, the boys loved it, the moms not so much. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the cabin seem isolated!
I'm so glad you enjoyed yourselves. I added the rope and pulley to help but it is still a little steep so I'll be cutting a switchback in a few weeks. Thanks for the helpful feedback.
Trinity Trails Ranch
Our family loves this secluded quiet place! The cabin was great!
Had a good time. Only trouble was hard to get the canoe to the lake because of the step grade.
Wonderful weekend with family
My brother and I wanted a nice weekend away with our families to celebrate our parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. The Trinity Ranch cabin was the perfect place. It’s a very quiet beautiful cabin nestled in the woods within walking distance to the lake.
