The Apartment is very large and comfortable, close to everything and very safe day and night.
Apt was clean and the owners were helpful. Relatively close to the subway station. Lots near there, but was always a trek to get downtown.
To start, the apartment is in a very old, not well maintained building. Third floor by stairs, not recommendable for old people, or little children. The apartment is dirty, tiles on the kitchen floor are broken and the pieces come out often, and with a little one bare footed all the time is a big hazard, the bathtub is rusted, the shower handle is broken and you can't regulate the water temperature, it's either cold or boiling water. A/C only in the living room and the master bedroom, so if you are planning on closing the second bedroom's door, you'll be left to suffocate (in summer). Tried to turn on the stove and it wasn't working, so no cooking could be done.
I have rented apartments all over NY and had never had such a negative experience.
We spent two weeks here with the family of 6 (three teenagers and 1,5-year-old), the apartment was not very spacious for us but filled the basic needs. Comfortable beds and crib for the toddler. Air conditioning worked well on hot weather. The nearest subway station was 15 mins away (86th and Lexington; not half a block away ; ) and it was 3rd floor apartment with no elevator. But all in all we had a quite nice and authentic stay in NYC.
Lovely, clean apartment. The beds were very comfortable and all 4 of us enjoyed our stay.
Hemos tenido una muy buena experiencia. Departamento comodo, practico, bien ubicado. Su precio es acorde con lo que ofrece.
This was our first visit to New York and we stayed for 5 days. The Apartment was adequate for a base. Clean and beds comfortable. Living area a little small for 4 adults but as we were out most of the time it wasn't a problem. Plenty of towels and toilet roll! The area felt safe with shops, supermarket and deli's near by but it was a 15min walk to the subway. A good location for the main attractions and NY sights in the centre of Manhattan, a bit further to travel to the south of the island. Good correspondence from the owners and we were met at the apartment on arrival.
