Great layout and location

Everything you would want in a beachfront vacation EXCEPT the mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced. Two adults roll to the middle of the bed.

Everything was wonderful. No complaints whatsoever. Did have a few ants on the stove but the maintenance guy came straight out. Would definitely come back again

I was stranded on patio until someone could open it from inside. VERY difficult to open from outside. Sent 2 requests to be fixed but no response, All else lovely.

Just needs a deep cleaning!

The view from the condo is gorgeous. The pool is beautiful and well maintained. We loved the location and proximity to restaurants and downtown. Our first impression was that the unit was not as clean as we expected for the amount of money spent on this rental. Upon arrival, there was sand on the kitchen and laundry room floors. The master shower did not appear clean and there was an unused bar of soap in the shower stall. Overall, it just feels like the condo needs a deep clean. A few things in the condo are also in need of repair. The blinds in the master bedroom are falling apart and we had to hang a sheet up to keep out the sunrise in the mornings. Both patio doors are extremely hard to open from the outside, only my husband was strong enough to open the doors from outside. The master toilet runs continuously and you have to jiggle the handle to get it to stop. The ceiling fan on the patio does not work. To us the carpet did not appear to be the cleanest and we all kept our shoes on while indoors and didn't want to walk barefoot on it. We also found 6 cockroach type bugs. One of which was found in the coffee maker, so needless to say we went out for coffee every morning. The others were found on the kitchen and the bathroom floors. We bought some bug spray because we did not want to risk bringing these guys home with us. They also did not stock the unit well....we only had 3 trashbags and there were no extra rolls of toilet paper, nor was there any soap to wash your hands. We always stay at rentals on vacation and we have never had to buy trash bags or TP. There is a guest book in the condo which echoed some of the same concerns I have mentioned. I emailed Vacation Rental Pros and they responded to my second email that they would have a property manager check into our concerns and they also offered us 10% off our next stay with them. I would stay at Island South again, but I would not stay in the same unit. I have always rented from individual owners, not sure if I will rent from a company again.

Condo is in need of maintenance!

Sliding doors need repaired or replaced. EXTREMELY HARD TO OPEN AND CLOSE! Plumbing problems--when you flush the toilet in the guest bathroom, it bubbles up into master bathroom toilet--not a pleasant experience in the middle of the night. Master toilet has very weak flush, have to hold the handle down to clear the bowl. Master bedroom wall had 12"x12" patch that was never painted. The non-stick coating on the pots and pans has worn away and rusted. They need to be replaced. Range hood had a light burned out. Why was our reservations transferred from VRBO to Vacation Rental Pros and charged an additional $95.00? In the future we will only book with owners.
