Wonderful Quiet Cabin Get-Away

Bedrooms 1
Space 650 sq ft
Property type cabin

About the property

1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 2

Don't be fooled by the price on this beautiful cabin! I am a traveler myself so understand how important it is to find a good deal on a nice place to stay. When you are ready to get away from the stress of every day life, this space offers an opportunity to do just that! A wonderfully, quiet room in small cabin settled within a nature preserve;(Think tall pines and surrounded by nature). If you desire solitude and privacy, rest assured, the owner generally resides elsewhere during the duration of your stay, but will be on call to make sure you have everything you need. Peaceful neighborhood, with public transit exactly one mile away. Golf course, pool, many lakes and trails all within walking/riding distance, or a short two minute drive. Local grocery and restaurants within a mile range. Cabin overlooks a bluff and has a small wood stove. Perfect for the person who wishes to get away from it all. Wifi, hard-line internet, small oven/stove and small private refrigerator are available.

The city of Bellingham is ten minutes away for those individuals who enjoy a day of adventure. Western University is a short ten mile drive for those parents who wish to visit their students. Whatcom Falls park within five miles and many mountain biking trails. The near-by town of Fairhaven is filled with wonderful artists and specialty restaurants. Inter-urban trails, Alaska ferry, and outdoor theater are all close by. Some fun activities include : the mall, the board walk, sailboat racing during summer months and maybe you'll experience the comedy club later in the evening. You can adventure out knowing you'll have inviting accommodations to return to when you are tired and need to relax.

You can expect a warm greeting upon your arrival and your room will include incidentals in case you've forgotten something at home. While most of the house is aesthetically pleasing, there are a couple small projects that are still in need of completion. We look forward to meeting you!

Please be advised this is a private residence. The owner maintains the loft area and may be present in a mother-in-law apartment on the property during your stay; however, you will have full and private access to the first floor of the home, as depicted on the photos.

Why Constance Lang chose Bellingham

This cabin is a wonderfully eclectic home with all the comforts of your own home. Cooking utensils, basic spices and other kitchen items are readily available for your use. A soft, pillow-top bed allows a wonderful restful nights sleep and the quiet atmosphere will give you the rest you may be looking for and well deserve!

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin offers a sense of serenity I have yet to find elsewhere. The unique scents of the forest, the view of the treetops and the peaceful nature of the cabin make it a wonderful place to stay.

Guestbook comments from the owner

It is a very nice cabin in the woods with nature all around you and yet all your needs taken care of. It was also great to have the place to our self. No sharing with a roommate. Constance was very accommodating in getting us an extra folding bed for an additional person. 5 stars

Just right!

  • 4 of 5

This place was exactly just right for what we needed. We were visiting relatives for Thanksgiving - and wanted to stay nearby and still to feel some of the woodsy "get away" feel. Thank you so much for this opportunity.

Great kitchen with plenty of appliances. The parking is right next to the front door. We will be back for this Sudden Valley gem.

Great place to reguvenate & relax!

  • 5 of 5

This is my second summer that I have spent at this little cabin in the woods. It is furnished with everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay! My dog enjoyed the dog park right on the lake a mile away and grandkids came out to play on the sandy beach----all amenities included! The landlord is always available and very helpful. I love this cabin and will hopefully continue to enjoy it every summer!
