We built this pretty second home and pool when we were living next door. The house is all-mahogany in and out with a 360 degree veranda, the back overlooking a lovely pool. A perfect place for R&rR wake up with the sun (or later!) and relax on the back veranda with your coffee and a good novel, grab a fresh papaya off one of the trees in the yard and dip into the pool as much as you wish.
Our home is fully furnished with double beds in each of 3 bedrooms. Two pretty bathrooms, each with a shower, a living room that opens onto the kitchen and eating area combine to provide you with a sense of simplicity and ease during your stay in Fiji.
We lived in Fiji twice, raised our son and worked there and these have been some of the most wonderful times of our lives. Fijians are as warm as the tropical south pacific weather; having an opportunity to get to know them will be a highlight of your visit.
Pacific Harbor is a 2.5 hour drive along the Coral Coast, from the international airport in Nadi. You can rent a car for the duration of your stay but it is also easy to get around in Fiji via local buses and reasonable taxis and vans, and just walk around our neighborhood to reach the beach and many of the various local activities. Pacific Harbour and the surrounding areas have a number of outdoor activities to enjoy from diving and snorkeling to golf, river rafting and boat trips up the river to visit indigenous villages. A long sandy beach is close by - a 15 minute walk through the lovely streets of Pacific Harbour from the villa - and you can spend the whole day just relaxing, swimming and playing there.
Pacific Harbour also has several cafes and restaurants as well as small grocery shops for supplies should you want to eat in. The capital city of Suva is located a bit less than an hour away by bus or taxi and worth a trip or two in order to see this small city's colonial style architecture, visit the South Pacific museum and the large outdoor fruit, veggie and spice market. Having lived in and loved Fiji for many years we are happy to provide any advice or guidance about your trip there which we hope will be spectacular.
I am a global citizen, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, educated in Cincinnati, Ohio, then headed to beautiful California after college. Met and married an amazing man with whom I have a wonderful 22 year old son. Thanks to my husband's love of life and living in many places we have lived in Fiji, The Philippines, the US, and Argentina. I am fortunate to work as a Human Resources Consultant and have worked in many different countries and cultures, regularly returning to the US for assignments as well as occasionally taking on short contracts with non profits in other countries which enables me to keep learning about the world while also helping others.

While I don't yet have any reviews on this rental site I have 29 reviews on another popular site and average a 5 star rating that has resulted in my being named a super host on that site.
The mahogany wood makes the house feel like a deluxe cabin, the modern bathrooms add another special touch but most people simply comment on their enjoyment of sitting on the back veranda or in the pool with their morning coffee. I find I spend more time there than in the house when I am in Fiji.
We recently stayed at the Mahogany Villa in Fiji. It was wonderful! Very clean, and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood and beautiful grounds and swimming pool. Owner also left wonderful restaurant tips, kayaking info and beach access.
Our area has amazing snorkeling and diving, several smalls cafes and restaurants, small gift shops with Fijian indigenous handicraft, a lovely long beach to walk with a hotel on each end of the beach where you can stop for lunch or a drink, Fijian fire-walking shows, zip-lining, and small boat rides to the upper valley areas and inland villages and waterfalls. Tranquil with a variety of outdoor activities at the same time.
