Why Zoe Tsakonas chose Monkland Village
I have lived in NDG for 30 years and absolutely adore this neighbourhood and as well this house. I love all the pretty tree lined streets with huge mature trees that look different every season. The trees add so much character and beauty as do all of the century old homes to this very unique neighbourhood. They have so much charm and are all architecturally unique and built with such detail. I just love old neighborhoods. I hope you enjoy it here as much as I do even if it is only for a few days! The neighborhood is filled with parks, cafes, restos, different ethic type eateries and bakeries, banks, steps to mass transit, bicycle paths, grocery stores and so much more all within minutes, steps and walking distance from my house. Great safe and quiet neighborhood to take long or short walks in.
What makes this House unique
Century old Craftsman style house. No lane therefore much more private, safer and quiet. From the master bedroom looking out two large windows the view of the beautiful trees and the moon it's quiet pretty and not to mention the summer breeze that flows through the room. As well the moon lights simply lights up the room. The very large and bright kitchen with cathedral style windows is another unique feature of the house. There are patio doors that lead to the deck from the kitchen. The kitchen is exceptionally ideal for cooking and hosting large family dinners and entertaining. I hope you enjoy it as well.

Quiet neighborhood, and close to attractions
We never had to move our car because it was very easy to get to public transportation. Nice clean house. They were working on the street when we arrived, but Zoe worked hard to help our move in go as smooth as possible. We enjoyed our stay Thanks!
Great house in Monkland Village!
The house was perfect for our family of six. All of the beds were extremely comfortable and the accommodations were great. Zoe could not have been a better host and provided a lot of good tips for local restaurants. We highly recommend this property!
Great home; perfect location!
Great home; had everything you could possibly need. Location was perfect; near public transportation including subway; neighborhood was safe; walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, bakery. Recommended!!
Wonderful Host, Great Home and Neighborhood
We were pleased with our stay and appreciate the host making sure we had everything we need. There were some issues with construction on the street, but we were able to find parking for the two cars on the next street with no problem. Also had trouble with the first day because we had no cell phone service to receive the owner's texts on how to access (visiting Canada from the US). But that was quickly resolved. Proximity to the park for our kids, and public transit to get into downtown, were ideal. Access to kitchen, multiple bathrooms and laundry were a must, so we are glad we stayed at this home. Clean, friendly neighborhood with a host who was outgoing and gave us ideas on where to eat and visit. Definitely glad we stayed here.
Nice stay in Montreal
This was a nice house in a good location. Because this is an owner-occupied house with a shared entrance through the backyard, we had many opportunities to speak with our host, Zoe, and she was helpful with directions and recommendations. The washer and dryer were not available to us, as they are in the owner’s basement apartment. The location is just a few blocks to the metro and near nice shopping and restaurants. The common living space is small, but our group was only five, so it worked well. This would be tight with a larger group. FYI – the street is under construction all summer and parking was a challenge.
