I was very excited to stay somewhere other than a hotel to get a different experience of Baltimore, however, upon arrival, I was very disappointed with our accommodations. In pictures, the place looked warm and friendly and not so much in person at all :(
We had an amazing stay and Kurtis was very friendly and answered any questions I had before and during the trip very quickly! The house was great and we would definitely stay again and would recommend this house to anyone.
Our family of four (two teens aged 14 and 16) were happy with our stay at this conveniently located home. Although we did not eat in (for breakfast we made use of great cafe 5 mins walk away on Pratt, Peace and a Cup of Joe) the kitchen was well equipped. One morning we brought our breakfast back and made use of the shared front garden. The bedrooms were a good size, although the two located on the top floor could do with proper curtains to better block out the early summer sun and help A/C work more efficiently during the daytime. The bedding was clean but newer pillows would make for a more comfortable nights sleep. We were all impressed with the beautiful bathroom, especially the oversized shower stall!
The property is located conveniently close to the ballpark, the convention centre and the Inner Harbor. We especially enjoyed visiting the American Museum of Visionary Art, after which we walked to Fells Point and then back through Little Italy for great dinner at Germano's Piattini. The Charm City Circulator was perfect for getting us the rest of the way back to the house.
Kurtis is a great host and is keen to make sure your visit is comfortable. From booking to departure, he and Meredith made sure we felt welcome.
Came with my family and friends for the weekend and had a great time. The home was beautiful. I look forward to staying again next year.
Several of my colleagues and I were attending a conference in Baltimore. We wanted an informal space to relax and catch up after the formality of the conference day. Kurtis's place was perfect. Located on a back street in a cute area of row houses, it was less than a ten minute walk to the conference venue, as well as many great bars and restaurants. There was plenty of space for a group of 5 of us to make food, relax, use the bathroom, etc. As a person who loves antiques, I also have to comment on the adorable 1870's row house, which has tons of character but also tons of functional updates. Checking in and out was easy, and the keypad system meant that we could each come and go as we pleased without keeping track of who had the key. Highly recommend!
Super delayed review. The hosts, although I didn't get to meet them due to my odd hours at the casino, were awesome and more than accommodating. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the parking is tight, and with all the snow during our stay my car consistently bottomed out while parking. Also, the tv in the living room was not as shown in the photos. Minor details, the place though is in a great location, and everything else was perfect!
