Came with my family and friends for the weekend and had a great time. The home was beautiful. I look forward to staying again next year.
Several of my colleagues and I were attending a conference in Baltimore. We wanted an informal space to relax and catch up after the formality of the conference day. Kurtis's place was perfect. Located on a back street in a cute area of row houses, it was less than a ten minute walk to the conference venue, as well as many great bars and restaurants. There was plenty of space for a group of 5 of us to make food, relax, use the bathroom, etc. As a person who loves antiques, I also have to comment on the adorable 1870's row house, which has tons of character but also tons of functional updates. Checking in and out was easy, and the keypad system meant that we could each come and go as we pleased without keeping track of who had the key. Highly recommend!
Super delayed review. The hosts, although I didn't get to meet them due to my odd hours at the casino, were awesome and more than accommodating. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the parking is tight, and with all the snow during our stay my car consistently bottomed out while parking. Also, the tv in the living room was not as shown in the photos. Minor details, the place though is in a great location, and everything else was perfect!
Greeted by owner at check-in time and she gave us a run-down of the house, its quirks, and how to not get hurt on the stairs (don't wear socks)! Had absolutly no problems with the house in terms of bugs, cleanliness, or even sharing 1 bathroom between 6 people. Only issue we had which was kind of funny was trying to park my car! It is a tight spot, so anybody with a larger SUV will have an issue, with a car you may need a couple of tries and its best to just back out of the street the same way you came in. Hopefully we were not too loud at night as 4 of us were on west coast time and were up late.
The house was charming. The best feature about it was it's proximity to all of down town Baltimore. My friends and I had a wonderful time. However the one bathroom for 7 women was a little difficult, but we made it work. It was more than worth it's weight in gold for a 3 day 4 night stay in baltimore, and it was vastly cheaper than what a hotel would have been. Again, the location can't be beat and the home owners were very accommodating. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here if they want to experience Baltimore at it's finest.
Kurtis and Meredith were very accommodating and welcoming to my group and I. The house isn't huge, but six of us stayed there comfortably, and I could easily see 8 or 9 people fitting. The living space is cozy, a little tight (as is typical for rowhomes), but more than sufficient for us. The bathroom was like a palace! Definitely felt like a little retreat. Meredith was there when we arrived, showed us around, and even recommended things for us to do in Baltimore. The location of the home is unbeatable, too. Fifteen minute walk to the convention center was great and saved us a ton of money and time because we didn't have to park in the city. What a great experience. If we're back in the area, we're going to look to stay here. :) A+
