My family and I had a wonderful time at this cottage in Sodus Point. The cottage itself is very clean and tidy, very comfortable and has a beautiful large enclosed porch facing the big sandy back yard that leads to the lake. There is a large dinning room table and lots of comfortable seating on the porch. There is a back deck that is large and is always shaded in the hot afternoons. The cottage is mostly shaded so it does not get to hot and there are ceiling fans throughout to help keep it cool on hot days. The location of this cottage is perfect. It is within walking distance to town and to the lighthouse and public beach where there is a play ground for small children. There are also some nice routes for cycling or for runners as you head out of town along the lake. Sunsets are beautiful and campfires are fun on the beach. I would recommend water shoes for swimming as there are some rocks you have to walk over as you get into the water. The owner was very helpful answering my questions and took the time to ask me if our stay was satisfactory after we had left. It's fun for all ages, our ages ranged from 3 years old, a teenager, 20's, 40's and 60's. It was such a joy to have our family together in a place we all enjoyed being at. I would recommend this Beach Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing family vacation.
