My husband & I, along with our three children fell in love with The Cabin and the location the very first time we drove out to it. We enjoy the country life while being able to walk down to the beach in the summer, enjoy the sights of the autumn foliage, play in the winter snow and watch the forest unfold in the spring. We both have full time jobs and the children have extra curricular activities that keep us busy, so while we cannot always enjoy camping at The Cabin, we would love to share it's beauty and splendor with people who have similar interests as our family!
Stephanie purchased this cabin in 2013
Location, location, location! An ol' dirt road runs alongside the property for family walks with the dog while the paved road along the front of the property allows easy accessibility. A walk to the beach or Big Bear store is less than 5 minutes! We love the Great Outdoors! The cabin is built like a fortress, it's private, somewhat secluded and has over 17 acres of property to venture out in and explore.
Come see for yourself! Hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, hiking, biking, boating, skiing, swimming, sight seeing, Salmon River Water Falls, Winona State Forest, Salmon River, Salmon River Reservoir all surround you here! One of the Great Lakes, Lake Ontario is a within a 30 minute drive. The Adirondack mountains are within a one hour drive.
The cabin was awesome-decorated with charm, cozy and comfortable. Our dogs had a great time and so did we! We were a little inimidated by the toilet facilities at first but got past that quickly. 😎 Thanks for a great experience.
What a charming cabin! We enjoyed an overnight stay here and wish it could have been longer. We took advantage of a relaxing evening around the fire pit, then a game of pool while watching a movie before retiring to the loft bedroom. We would love to come back and stay in the autumn!
We had a great long weekend at this cozy little cabin. It was a nice little get away. The owner was very sweet and welcoming. Very outdoorsman type "glamping".
Had a great time at the cabin would definitely recommend to others looking for a fun outdoorsie experience overall totally worth it
Once we found it, it was more then we expected or could ask for. Arrived after dark and there were no markings to let us know the address. We finally just entered the drive after stopping at 4 other drives and a road, in which we were able to know we had arrived from pictures online. Upon entry, it was beautiful and welcoming. Found it nice and well stocked for the simple things we forgot such as cups and paper towels. Once we got tucked in, we enjoyed the pool table and dart board. The fire pit and wood was great to have our fire with s'mores. Thank you for the gas grill as we used that to make our dinner. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking a a little serenity and relaxation. Verizon service is a no no but, GF AT&T was great. I wish neither worked.
We walked in not really knowing what to expect since the pictures of the cabin were so dark(trust me there's plenty of lighting inside), but we were blown away with how beautiful the cabin was inside and out. Stephanie had excellent communication with us while we were planning our stay and when we walked in, it was nice and cool, and smelled amazing. Everything was better than we had envisioned it would be. There's a lot to do in the surrounding areas, but we also found that just relaxing in the cabin for a day or two was a great deal of fun. This was the best Honeymoon we could have hoped for. A few tips for people visiting, Otters limits has amazing breakfast, and I imagine great lunch food too, but we only ever had breakfast there. You should check out the Salmon River fish hatchery, and Salmon River falls. Also there is a fiddlers Museum that my wife and I really enjoyed. Nicole's of Camden is another incredible place to eat. If you like hiking there's plenty of land to do it on, or you can just sit back and make a fire in the fire pit and enjoy the company you are with. There is a lot to do. Also if you go to the pump house, there is a jar of water off to the side, if the water doesn't seem like it wants to pump out poor the water in that jar down inside the pump to prime it, just remember to fill it up and leave it for the next person.
Stephanie, we cannot thank you enough for helping make our honeymoon so special for us. My wife was almost in tears when we had to leave, we even spent some of our time looking for places for sale because we fell in love with the area, and your cabin. We absolutely hope to be able to come back for our anniversary, and make the whole trip our first tradition as a married couple and as a family.
