This adorable and historic one bedroom house has been totally restored and remodeled within the last six months into a luxurious bungalow competing with the top five star resorts in the city. Top of the line HDTV's, luxury linens, dishes,modern gas kitchen, coffee area, surround sound with indoor/ outdoor speakers, one and a half baths, separate study area, large covered porch and two balconies are just a few of this home's amenities. Clarksville is known for its charm and has many shops, restaurants and coffee bars within walking distance. You will love staying at this home. Walk to ACL via the footbridge. Walk to the trail at Lady Bird Lake. Great spot.

About Pam Bernhardt

Tom and I purchased this home in 2013 and we live in the house behind this bungalow. I fell in love with the bungalow the minute that I walked in. Even though the larger house was not complete we knew we wanted to live here as it is a great location in Austin. You can walk to ACL or Lady Birdy lake and downtown is only a mile away for SXSW or just going out on 6th street.

Great home in a great neighborhood.

Wonderful bungalow on a nice block of W 10th. Quiet but easy to get to the trail, W 6th or downtown. Plenty of room for my wife, dog and myself. High quality furnishings and accessories. Hope to stay here again.

Great place!

We came to Austin for MotoGP and stayed in this wonderful little bungalow in Clarksville. There were only 2 of us, but there is a murphy bed in the living area that would sleep more. The bed was very comfortable, the furnishings were very nice, the yard and outside area were adorable. We were within easy walking distance to the Fresh Plus grocery store, Zocalo Cafe, Josephine's House, Jeffrey's and Galaxy Cafe. I'm sure there is more in the area, but we were dead tired after long days at the track! We would definitely consider staying here again for our next trip to Austin!

EXACTELY AS DESCRIBED! VERY HAPPY WITH ACCOMMODATIONS!

My husband, one year old daughter, and I stayed at this location for the SXSW event. The location is safe and in walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. We were able to be down town within 10 min to all the events, without even getting on the freeway. Inside is very clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Would definitely request to stay here again!!!

A nice place, a great location

My wife and I stayed here for 6 weeks, starting January 15 and ending March 2. It's in a great location, walking distance to several restaurants, a coffee shop, a grocery store, a convenience store, dry cleaner, drug store, barber, etc. If you stretch it, it's walking distance to Whole Foods although on the way back you're going uphill with groceries.

The place itself is nice. I will say I think it's better suited for a shorter stay, maybe a week or even a weekend. But that's on us and is in no way a reflection of the property. The bed is supremely comfortable and the kitchen has pretty much everything you need to cook. Good use is made of the space in the living area, although the chairs there are a little uncomfortable. The sofa is comfortable albeit small and overall I think the living area is a plus given the size of the overall property. The bathroom in the master is plenty big for the space with 2 sinks, and the shower is great.

We had a couple of issues during our stay, the TV in the living area had some sound issues and the ice maker in the refrigerator was leaking. I will say that Pam was right on top of both of these when I mentioned them and a new TV was installed immediately and a repairman for the ice maker came the next day and fixed everything.

The downsides.....the washer/dryer needs to be replaced. It took more than one cycle to dry everything, regardless of the size of the load. Also, the pictures don't really show it but the house behind the bungalow is really close to the bungalow and when there are guests in the house the best move is to close all of the shutters on that side of the bungalow.

Overall I would say the place is well-maintained, in a great location, and if you're looking for a short stay in the Austin area you probably couldn't do much better in this price range.

This location is one of the best in Austin. Clarksville is an eclectic area of downtown where shops, bars, coffee houses and restaurants abound. You can walk to many places and if you prefer to hop a cab it is a short distance to 6th Street. You can also drive to Lake Austin, Lady Bird Lake or Lake Travis within minutes. The airport is a 20 minute drive and Zilker Park is within walking distance.
