The property is located in a quiet street of a safe middle class neighborhood with good people all around, just five blocks away from the Eastern Parkway / Kingston corner (subway station.)
The fully-equipped apartment is charming and offers the unique experience of authentic Brooklyn living. Everything that we needed was already there (and actually had much more than what we expected.) Our host, Joyce, was charming and helpful and continually looked after us to see if we were OK and had everything we needed.
Needless to say, we highly recommend staying here!
Comfortable accommodations, especially the bed! Charming neighborhood, quiet street for the most part. Easy access to various delis and short walk to the metro. Joyce was great to work with and allowed us to keep our luggage at the house long after checkout since our flight left later in the day. Would definitely stay again if we ever need a place to stay in Brooklyn!
Homeowner & children very nice. I rented & stayed for 3 weeks.. That said, I would not, like I did, rent in the summer. Only one small ac in apt, located in bedroom, at front of the apt. This made the bedroom ok, but the middle (living) room was warm, with only a ceiling fan to draw cool air in from the bedroom, but at the same time, hot air from the kitchen. The next room (kitchen), had no ac, & there was a window that could accommodate one, or a ceiling fan. So this room was warmer & humid. The last room, bathroom, was even warmer & more humid. It was also dark, & walls looked like they had not been painted in years. The whole apt had that look of being dark & needed improvements . The couch in the living room, for the few times I sat on it, was lumpy & uncomfortable. Great park at one end of block, & housing project at other end of block. Area is on way back, but still has a way to go. As does the apt. based on rental price.
This brownstone was located very close to the subway making the trips in to Manhattan quick. There were plenty of stores, delis, and pizza places nearby to give you a good taste of Brooklyn. Joyce was a very friendly and helpful host.
I arrived at the property and was met by Joyce. She is very nice and knowledgeable about the area. The apartment is very roomy and clean. I enjoyed my time in Brooklyn.
