Small and cozy

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway but knew our kids needed something to keep them active. This spot was perfect! The cove was very quiet, even in the dead of summer, and the kids fished and swam the whole time while my husband and I relaxed. The house could use a few improvements-the sliding door to the deck, new mattress for master bedroom-but these things would not keep me from staying again. The smaller cottage was perfect for my girls to stay in.

"Awesome Lake Rental"

  • 5 of 5

Super clean. Great location. The landscape, especially around the guest house, needs some serious attention. Also time to replace some blinds in the guest house. The door going to the back deck from the kitchen needs .some attention. Would stay again.

The house looked and felt unkept.

  • 1 of 5

We had 3 day two night stay. When we arrived at the home the second part of the house was infested with ants. After an email a can of spray was dilvered at night the last night of our stay. The bathrooms had spiders and dead bugs in the shower. Everywhere there were spider webs inside and out. I was surprised to see webs in the bedrooms. When you cook in the house the fire alarm goes off because there is no hood over the stove. The house could be a great house but no one wants to sleep in filth. I would have paid more just for it to be cleaned. The grass was was unkept as well. The second part of the home you had to walk through tall weeds just to get inside. The location is great and this house could be a gem. This is our second stay in 5 years. By far this stay was the absolute worse.

Owner's Response: I am disappointed to read this review, as I feel it is an inaccurate accessment of the property. Spray for the supposed ants was delivered the same day that it was requested and when the house was cleaned after these guests checked out there was food left everywhere, which causes ants to appear. There was also evidence of pot being smoked insides the property as well. These guests are not the type of renters that we seek to attract.

Cute cottage

  • 5 of 5

Perfect for a weekend getaway. We spent 5 days here to fish. The fishing was terrible. The house was wonderful. The loft bedroom is too small for most adults but great for an older child. The kitchen is small but had everything we needed, we cooked most of our dinners on the grill and barely used the stove. We plan to return in the fall to try fishing again.
