Great home!

  • 4 of 5

This home is warm and inviting. While not a big house, it really has plenty of room. It's close proximity to Route 9 helped us celebrate a fabulous graduation weekend with ease and comfort. Ellis was quick to respond to our questions. I would definitely come back again!

Cute house. Perfect location.

  • 4 of 5

This is a lovely little house in a picturesque, wooded neighborhood, walking distance from the Hudson River. Everything was as described in this clean and interestingly decorated home. Eilis was also very responsive to any questions we had leading up to our stay. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars was the sleeping arrangements. We reserved for a group of 8 adults, which is more than the bedrooms can accommodate. So the sofas became beds for the extra 2. They would probably be fine for children, but our adults who used them were not comfortable. But overall, this was a great home-away-from home!

Cozy home situated very close to Hyde Park historic sites.

  • 4 of 5

We had a pleasant stay at Eilis's cozy Cape Cod cottage. It was ideally located near the historic sites in Hyde Park and an easy drive to CIA and the towns of Rhinebeck and Red Hook. The home is well appointed and slept 4 adults comfortably.

Very cozy home in a great location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I with another couple were stayed in this house for the Labor Day weekend (last minute booking). Eilis was a pleasure to deal with! The description of the house was very accurate and the instructions provided were very detailed. This home is somewhat small but beautifully and lovingly decorated, and very clean (which is very important to me). We didn't plan to cook or grill but if we were, the kitchen was stocked with all the basics. There was also coffee/tea machine with variety of k-pods left for us.

We loved the area - very close to Rhinebeck (one of our favorite places), close to all sorts of shopping, many restaurants to eat in or order. It was a nice weekend in a very nice and comfortable home.

Great Stay!!

  • 5 of 5

I checked in with three other people for what had to be one of the hottest weekends of the summer. If you turn the air conditioner on the main floor on, shut the basement door, leave the main floor bedroom doors open and sleep with them open it's totally comfortable. The people who slept in the master upstairs said the air-conditioner was sufficient if the door was kept closed upstairs. It truly was super hot out but we were fine in the house. It was a major concern of mine and it all worked out!

We booked the house as accommodation for going to an Omega workshop. It was amazing accommodation with only a 15 to 20 minute drive to Omega. Fully equipped and good water pressure in the showers.

Great decor and lovely linens.

Would highly recommend and I would stay there again for sure!

Note: access to the house was through a remote garage door opener. This becomes problematic if you are not always traveling with your group.

Also if unloading groceries and luggage, pull up to the side of the house and bring it in through the front door. Then go park the car on the lower-level garage area. Saves a lot of hassle.

Location

Car: recommended

Dead end road, lots of lawn games, across the street from Vanderbilt Historic Site for a great picnic or walk, down the road from FDR Library, close to many hiking trails, short walk to Hudson river. So many activities close: biking, hiking, kayaking, restaurants (everready diner seen on the food network), wonderful spas, Drive-In Movies, Culinary Institue of America, Rhinbeck Ny, Antiques, shopping, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, walkway over the hudson state park, many other historic homes in area, Dairy Queen, 18 hole Golf Course 3 minute drive, horseback riding, dutchess county fair grounds, woodstock and new paltz within a 30 minute drive. Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY 5 minutes. Great area during any season of the year!
