Nestled amongst the birch and alder, Black Bear Bungalow sits a top its perch with views of Pioneer Peak and the Chugach range. The views can be seen from the main living area, the expansive deck as well as the bedroom and another upper private deck.
This rustic but completely modern cabin may trigger your childhood imagination of an Alaska cabin (something from the Grizzly Adams era if you are as old as we are).
The kitchen is fully stocked with all conveniences (minus the food). You will notice that you have most of the kitchen niceties to create your beautiful comfort food, a perfect romantic meal to share or a simple BBQ.
Pillow top mattresses allow you to sleep in comfort as you settle in to your home away from home. Just as an extra, every bed and pillow are protected with mattress and pillow protectors.
Just in case you stay a little longer or wish not to bring home dirty clothes Black Bear Bungalow offers a full size wash and dryer for your added convenience.
Like Goldie Locks would say…Black Bear Bungalow is just right!
Whether you choose to relax and get away from it all or simply use the charming cabin as a place to rest your weary head after exploring Alaska, comfort and convenience are foremost with Suite Dreams Alaska!
You can choose your theme in one of four 'cabins' but the amenities are the same. Each has a full kitchen, full size refrigerator, dining area, living room, large bedroom area, full bathroom, washer & dryer and private decking.

“It’s Your Dream, That Makes it Ours, Too!”
Assisting folks in finding their Alaska home and property is our passion. Professional, friendly and available service with local knowledge.
We decided long ago that it would be a natural choice to also share our local expertise and love of our great state with not just homes and properties but with vacations too.
Jacque was born on Elmendorf AFB and is an Air Force brat. Her pop served 23 1/2 years and was stationed all over the US and Tripoli Libya. After his retirement in 1982, the family moved to Wasilla Alaska and has been here since. Jacque also has a background as a Palmer and Wasilla police officer so she knows the back roads and neighborhoods very well. She became licensed in and joined her husband Larry in real estate in 2001.
Larry is a Montana transplant and fell in love with Alaska from the minute he arrived. He understands the draw to move to this amazing state. If you need any fishing tips, he is always willing to share that advice as well! He has been licensed in real estate since 1997. Larry is well versed in negotiations and the current status of the market.
We both really enjoy meeting new people and sharing our local knowledge to folks visiting our area.
Larry & Jacque
Located just inside the heart of Wasilla, just a hop and skip away from mile 40 of the Parks Highway. Amenities very nearby are restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, clothing stores, discount box stores, souvenirs, movie theaters, lakes, rivers, hiking, biking, trails, blueberry picking, skiing, swimming wildlife viewing, fishing, boating and all kinds of places to take photos of your Alaskan adventures!
"Just Right" is what Goldie Locks would say about the Black Bear Bungalow! Comfortable, centrally located, clean and private with all the amenities of home. Go on your Alaskan adventures and then relax on the decks with gorgeous mountain views!
Jacque & Larry, THANK YOU for letting us stay in your beautiful Black Bear Bungalow. We've enjoyed our time here so much & I am sad leaving this beautiful and cozy cabin.
You've made this place feel like a home away from home & I am so thankful I found you guys!
My husband and I live in Homer and came to Palmer/Wasilla for the Alaska State Fair and a side trip to Hatcher Pass. This little cabin was the perfect home away from home. Although it's located just a stone's throw from the busy Parks Highway, you feel like you're out in the woods surrounded by birch trees with a lovely view of the mountains from the deck. It's also surprisingly quiet and serene aside from an occasional reminder a highway is nearby...which is not a distraction. The website photos capture the cabin's ambiance and amenities very accurately. It's comfortable, nicely furnished, well stocked, and a pleasure to come "home" to. We would definitely stay here again.
My daughter and I traveled to Alaska and chose this cabin on a whim. The owners were very specific on directions to the cabin and we were able to find it easily. The accommodations were perfect and the location was in the heart of Wasilla but felt like we were in the mountains. Although our stay was short, the cabin was a welcome after our days of adventure. Next time I venture to the Wasilla, I will definitely return to the the Black Bear Bungalow!
We had a great time. The place was lovely and well stocked. Everything we needed. Enough space for our family to come over for dinner. Perfect location - nice and quiet. Great view.
This cabin was super cute, super comfortable, and had everything we needed! Great location for visiting the Palmer/ Wasilla area. Close to town, beautiful view off the deck and porch. The theme runs through the entire cabin to some of the tiniest details. We came down for a State Hockey Tournament with our two kids. It was really nice to come back to a place that was like home away from home where we could relax and enjoy each others company. We even partook in some of the games the cottage had to offer. If its not booked up, we would stay here again for our next visit! It really is a treat! Don't miss out!
We stayed at the Black Bear Cottage and was very impressed. These cottages have everything anyone would want or need. The owners have done an outstanding job in thinking of everything guests would need during their stay. The decor is themed by the name of the cabin, therefore ours had black bears and the most beautiful black/red decorations throughout. Cottages have all ammendities that you would want or need. Waking up to fresh coffee (that was provided) was just awesome! Loved these cottages and would recommend them to anyone. These could actually be lived in as a home for a short period of time and would accommodate that need.
Great for a long weekend getaway, girls trip, vacation home away from home, spa weekend, retreat, family reunion, class reunion, honeymoon, anniversary getaway or simply a place to rest your head while you search for your permanent home.
