About Letty J. Lalu
Owners: Jerry and Letty Lalu. We purchased this home in 2006 while living in Fredericksburg, VA with the hope of one day retiring to this area. We fell in love with all that this area has to offer while making multiple visits to our daughter when she was a student at JMU. We both hail from Ohio (Go Buckeyes!) and have lots of family still there. We immediately opened the home up to family and friends as a retreat or vacation spot. Over the years, we've had hundreds of visitors who all seem to love the area and this home as much as we do. We recently relocated to NC and its a little more difficult for us to spend as much time as we'd like here so decided it was time to allow others to enjoy it. We still spend as much time as we can here and really enjoy the fall when we try to pack the house each JMU home game weekend with alumni, friends and family to root on the Duke Dogs!

Why Letty J. Lalu chose Massanutten
While there are many activities available at the resort, there are just as many activities available for a multitude of interests within just minutes of your front door including wonderful antiquing, shopping, wineries, civil war history, college athletics, flea markets, caverns, hiking, museums or driving beautiful Skyline Drive. Take the time to experience life 'in the valley' and you'll find yourself planning your next visit before you've ever left.
What makes this House unique
Over the years with the help of family and friends, we've renovated nearly every room and attempted to furnish it with pieces that make it feel cozy and comfortable. We love the open concept that encourages family time and easy conversations. The spacious kitchen and open island make food prep (even for a large group) easy and a group effort. With lots of windows and a peaceful back deck, you can experience the sites and sounds of nature from either inside with the pellet stove warming you or outside watching deer and listening to the birds sing. We purposely have stayed away from making our home feel 'hotel' like and feel confident that it's the right choice for families and friends looking for a clean, comfortable vacation spot that encourages conversations, good times and provides long lasting memories. It is our sincere hope that you'll love our home as much as we do and we want to do all we can to make your stay a great one.

Very lovely place tucked into the hills. Very relaxing and and great area. Thanks so much!
We loved our stay and enjoyed both the house and area. Very clean and had everything we needed. Would also be great for a family get away. Thanks again!
We really enjoyed ourselves. Would book again.
Fantasic Family Home!
We had a great time staying at Missin' Nutten! Letty was a joy to work with, and was extremely responsive. The house felt like home, and had everything our two families needed. The kitchen was well stocked, and even had a crock pot for our corn beef and cabbage meal on St. Patrick's day. Would definitely book again if we are in the area in the future! Thanks Letty for a great spring break!
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and very appreciative of all the great feedback you provided. We strive to make our home as enjoyable as possible for our guests and we certainly hope that you all will make a return trip sometime soon.
Everything was perfect, CLEAN house, very nice beds. A true home away from home! So much space and the owner provides all the information for the area you will need.
We loved it!
We were there on New Year 2018 Eve! It was very cold outside, so we spent all the time inside the house. It was very warm and comfy inside! Very recommend!!! We love this house!
The place was great. We had lots of sleeping space and lived that one bedroom had three beds.
Letty was great. She was available as soon as we needed her. I texted her about something and she responded right away. It was also a great location and very close to the ski slopes. Thanks Lett!
