About the property

Private, Mt. LeConte Mountain Views

Our one bedroom, one-and-a-half bath traditional style chalet is tucked among the trees in the area of Cobbly Nobb on Webb Mountain. The last house on a quiet road, our home provides privacy with the luxury of being 15 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and the entrance to the Smoky Mountains National Park. With a view of Mt. LeConte from the living room, you’re tucked away among the rhododendron and mountain laurel, along with the wild turkey, deer and bears that also call our mountain home.

Upstairs, a master suite offers a king-size bed, master bath with Jacuzzi tub and flat-screen TV that’s perfect for late-night movies. Downstairs, the living room is the heart of the house, with overstuffed couches, a 50” LCD TV, free Wi-Fi, large picture windows, dining area and a fully-stocked kitchen. Let our wood-burning fireplace keep you warm as you watch movies or play a game of billiards on our regulation-size pool table. Outside, enjoy our Hot Tub and relax after a day of hiking.

During spring and summer, piles of fragrant lemon balm, strawberry vines and flowers greet you at the front porch, providing an opportunity to watch fireflies during summer nights from our rocking chairs. A small side lawn sets the stage for grilling.

Tenants also have access to the three community pools, open from May through September.

This cabin is rented by its owners. When you email or call about the cabin, you speak directly with us - not a management company. It's our second home and we take pride in sharing it with you. Management companies handle hundreds of cabins. We know more about our cabin than any management company ever could. There is a vast difference in renting from individual owners, who are invested in their home and your experience, versus a management company.

We are responsive owners who answer inquiries/emails quickly and attend to our guests' questions and concerns to help make their vacation unforgettable. Our photographs are up-to-date (taken June 2017) and represent the cabin and furnishings accurately.

Please note, this is a nonsmoking cabin and pets are not allowed. Any evidence of smoking, pets or damage to the home, Jacuzzi or pool table will result in your full security deposit being withheld. If you notice damage when you arrive, please contact us immediately to avoid being held accountable.

During the winter months, we recommend AWD or 4x4 vehicles to access the area safely or park at the bottom of the driveway.

Note: In November 2016, a wildfire ravaged Gatlinburg. Homes, buildings and lives were lost and words cannot express our heartbreak. As Gatlinburg rebuilds, we welcome the visitors who cherish this place as much as we do.

My husband and I had a great week long stay. Property is very secluded and just felt very homey. A few recommendations we had were to put a curtain or blinds over the front door. Although it's secluded, we kept scaring ourselves as we would catch a glimpse of our reflection at night time and think there was someone outside! Also, was really looking forward to using the jetted tub but was unable as the hot water would not last long enough to fill it up! It would get a quarter full and then water would be ice cold. Luckily there was a hot tub which was wonderful. Make sure you bring extra trash bags if staying more than a few days. There was only 1 bag provided and we found that was not enough for a week long stay. Over all we loved it and was perfect for our honey moon and would definitely stay again!

Review #20922175 “Private, Mt. LeConte Mountain Views”

★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

1. We rented a cabin on line and planned on being in that location, after we paid, we found out we were booked in a completely different cabin. We were never told anything about the change of cabin until one week prior to our arrival. In addition to that our HomeAway app continued to show the original cabin we rented. The owner told us that their other cabin burned down, however it was still advertised.

2. Upon our arrival we noticed that there was a dried old danish on the fireplace hearth and the sheets smelled of perfume and did not look clean so we washed them.

3. The hot tub wasn't working, and the owner did talk us through fixing the problem.

4. There was no hot water while taking a shower, it was lukewarm.

5. There was no cable, owner stated there wasn't cable yet it is advertised, in addition we've stayed in the area many times prior and always had cable. There was firestick, and wireless. However no local channels, or regular tv channels to see what the upcoming weather was. We had a big snowstorm and couldn't get any local updates. We watched turner movies on firestick and every few minutes during the movie it had to reset the signal so the movie paused while doing so. No NFL and no golf.

6. We had to purchase toilet tissue and salt for the extremely steep driveway.

7. There was not enough hot water for the bathtub, even though none was used prior to filling the tub.

8. We paid a damage deposit and the owners took it upon themselves to charge us extra money for cleaning from the damage deposit because their small garbage can outside would not hold anymore garbage and we didn't want to leave anything out for the bears to get into. So because of leaving the garbage in the garbage can and 3 cups in the sink they are charging 50.00. above their normal cleaning fee which they need to relook at their cleaning crew!! They took it upon themselves to take it out of the damage deposit, in which there was no damage! BUYER BEWARE!!! We are not the type to be negative, but this needs to be put out there.

Cozy cabin to relax in the smokies

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was exactly what my husband and I were looking for! Very cozy and secluded in the smokies! Views from the hot tub were amazing. It was about a 15-20 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg. The driveway was a bit intimidating and would definitely be a challenge in the snow as it's a decent sized hill. We would definitely stay again!
