About the property

Rebuilding - Private Cabin With Amazing Mountain Views

In November 2016, a wildfire ravaged Gatlinburg. Tragically, homes, buildings and lives were lost, including our beautiful home Bird’s Eye View. With this sad news we had no choice but to cancel all future reservations.

While we lost one home we are grateful the other was spared, having recently purchased Bear Necessities, a cabin tucked among the trees near downtown Gatlinburg. For information about this property, click here. https://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p4446380

About Danielle & David Spears

We first visited the Smoky Mountains in 2004 on a spontaneous trip from our hometown in Orlando, FL and we just loved it. We hope you will find the same charm and beauty that we have discovered near our home in Gatlinburg.

When you rent from us, you will always talk to David and Danielle - not a property management company.

Danielle & David Spears purchased this cabin in 2013

What makes this cabin unique

Long range view of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park from every room in the cabin. Cozy living room with wood burning fireplace, large flat TV, WiFi and Cable TV included. Located in secluded Golf Community yet close to Downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Mountain cabin just like described. Beautiful setting, just in the heart of the Smokies. Lovely.

Awesome view! Love the location!

  • 4 of 5

very nice cabin for 2-4 people. Kitchen and appliances were fully functional and we were able to make an excellent Thanksgiving dinner based on the kitchen and utensils available. My only suggestion is to get a door for the guest bathroom. My son and his new girlfriend were visiting and we had to improvise the bathroom situation. Why the door is missing on a bathroom is kind of odd for sure.

Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect place for a small family or couple looking to escape for a while - far enough away from town to feel by yourself but close enough to all the attractions. The cabin was clean and well stocked with all the necessities with a view that is as advertised.

We had a great time. Very peaceful and BEAUTIFUL!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was great and close to downtown Gatlunburg. We would definitely stay again. However, we took our elderly parents this trip and it was very difficult for them to maneuver up and down the stairs.

Fall Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time on the mountain! Enjoyed our time together & the place was just the right size for the two of us. We left every day to visit the Smokey Mountain Park, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge which were all close enough to enjoy without being right out the front door.

Wonderful Summer Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had a wonderful summer trip to the Smoky Mountains and the cabin was a perfect retreat to just relax and get away from life for a few days. The cabin is conveniently located to downtown and the national park, but still away from everything to get some peace and quite.

The views are just breathtaking from the deck and dining room. We sat and ate breakfast every day while watching the clouds\smoke roll through the mountains in amazement.

Cabin was very clean and everything exceeded our expectations. You can rent an entire cabin for about as much as you can rent a hotel room. You can't go wrong with this vacation rental.
