Fabulous Seattle Modern-Awake to views of the City and Mount Rainier in this new, sleek, impeccably designed home. Enjoy the close proximity to the City within the urban Seattle neighborhood of Magnolia. Dine or shop in the charming village of Magnolia or hike the nearby trails of massive Discovery Park. Ride to the top of the Space Needle, buy fresh seafood at Pike Place Market or enjoy jazz at a local nightclub.
Peace, quiet and beautiful views abound in this private setting with easy access to urban fun. And when the sky does turn gray, state of the art features such as heated hardwood & tile floors will keep your feet toasty warm. A gourmet kitchen includes full Viking suite and looks out onto a private sanctuary like backyard.
With 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms spread throughout the house, count on lots of privacy yet still have great group gatherings.
I am the owner of several rental properties in Seattle, this being my fifth vacation rental. My wife and I purchase and renovate turn-of-the-century and mid-century homes. This house started as a mid-century two bedroom/one bath home. We took the roof off and added a second story, putting three large bedrooms on the top floor and turning the original first floor into a wide-open living space which is great for relaxing to enjoy the views or having enough room around the kitchen or dining room for a family reunion.
Bob purchased this house in 2008
This Magnolia neighborhood home is located on one of Seattle's seven major hills, surrounded by Puget Sound and tideflats. Magnolia is revered for its suburb-like quiet and safety and close location to downtown ....In other words, a suburb within a city.
Fantastic house with amazing Mt. Rainer view in a very nice neighborhood. Rented the place for a family vacation, slept 12 people comfortably. This property is very well equipped, even had a high chair, multiple baby gates and a crib off the master bedroom! Also a large seated bar and dining room table for meals together. Three stories with three bedrooms upstairs, an office on the main floor and two bedrooms plus a bonus room in basement. One car garage but usually plenty of street parking out front. Would book again in a heartbeat. We had a wonderful stay!
Our family of six found this lovely home a perfect rental. Lots of room in this tri-level. Immediate response to questions and smooth, easy check in and out.
My extended family of 11 adults stayed comfortably in this house for a long 4-day weekend. There were enough beds for everyone. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and the dining room table was just big enough for all. We loved the open concept on the main floor, and the master bath was ridiculous - bigger than some bedrooms in my own house.
The Magnolia neighborhood is great. Discovery Park, just a few blocks away, is a fantastic place for hiking. You can go all the way down to the Sound. The guys played some touch football there as well. The Metropolitan Market, an upscale grocery store, is just a 5 minute walk. It's a bit pricey, but has everything you need. The Village is a 20 minute walk but there are several bars, restaurants, a pharmacy and Starbucks there. You can also get to downtown Seattle in about 15 mins via car. We took an Uber for about $15.
On the slightly down side, I thought the mattress on the king bed was shot - time for an upgrade. The internet was flaky, I kept having to reboot the router - time for an upgrade there too. Also, I would have liked a big TV in the main living area. This may not be important to some, but I had 11 football fans looking to watch the game on Sunday. There is a nice big TV in the lower level, but it was a tight squeeze trying to jam us all down there.
All in all it was a great house and I would recommend it to any big group looking to spend some time in the Seattle area. If you feel the need to be in the downtown area a lot during your visit, then maybe you should look elsewhere. But if you are looking for a place where your family or group can just spend some time together, with easy access to the city, then this is the place for you!
Our group of 7 really enjoyed our stay in this lovely home! Plenty of room to socialize together, or spread out for a little quiet time. Loved being close enough to walk to the Metropolitan Market for groceries, and downtown Seattle was only a 10 minute Uber ride away. Great base for exploring all Seattle has to offer.
Overall a very nice place, well located with easy access; and well equipped to comfortably sleep groups of about 12-15 without anyone having to sleep on air mattresses! The only minor drawbacks were very poor wifi signal inside the house, and lack of sufficient common sitting space (i.e. living room/den/family room/TV room). Otherwise a great find!
Spacious, clean, very well maintained and equipped house perfect for a family stay. We had more than enough room for our group of eight.Wonderful master bedroom and bath. Located on a quiet, residential street with parking in the driveway or on the street in front of the house. Great sunrise views as well as views of Mt. Rainier from the front deck.
