Experience the best New Orleans has to offer! Nestled in the hip Irish Channel neighborhood, we're centrally located next to the coolest bars, restaurants, shops and boutiques in the city on Magazine Street. Our home has a contemporary vibe with NOLA flavor.
Our 3 bedroom/2 full bathroom house is fully equipped for a group or family stay. We have huge rarity in the lower garden district...off street parking! Enjoy the comfort of not having to find a spot on the street if you drive in from out of town. The house also has private, gated access. The kitchen is decked out with modern stainless steel appliances, cookware and cutlery. Complimentary coffee, tea, cereal and milk will be provided. The dining area seats 7 comfortably and is elegantly decorated. This is where you'll be enjoying last night's leftovers from Commander's Palace! The beds are all super comfy and made in soft, fine linen.
Master bedroom: California King bed
Spare bedrooms 1&2: Queen beds
1 Full-size air mattress if you need it as well.
We've got a brand new washer and dryer stocked with detergent and sheets and the bathrooms are stocked with towels and soaps. The living room has a big 50' flat screen hooked up to cable, Netflix, and DVD player. We've got a small collection of DVDs to sample. We also have a vinyl record player for the vintage types. The backyard has patio furniture, privacy fence, a small grill and palm trees! It is a perfect place for enjoying a cocktail before you hit the town!
I've lived in New Orleans for a total of nine years. I'm originally from Georgia, but once I came down to the Big Easy I never looked back! There's just something about this city that when it gets in your blood, you never want to be anywhere else. I'm a father of two lively boys, a loving husband and a civil engineer.
“America has only three cities: New York, San Francisco, and New Orleans. Everywhere else is Cleveland.” - Tennessee Williams
I chose the Irish Channel because its the quirkiest, liveliest, and most character-soaked neighborhood in New Orleans! It's located just a couple of blocks from the heart of bustling Magazine Street, which boasts the coolest bars, restaurants and boutiques in the city. It's centrally located between the French Quarter and Uptown/Audubon Park, with about a ten minute drive to either one.
Off-street Parking, Convenient Location
We rented this for 2nd weekend Jazzfest 2016. The pictures are misleading in that the house is much bigger than it looks. Usually it's the other way around. This house was ROOMY! It was 6 of us and the joke of the weekend was that the home was too big because you had to walk such a long distance to get to the kitchen from the master bedroom. The back yard provided a great spot to get some fresh air, and being right off the kitchen it was very convenient to pop in for a refill. It also worked perfect to store all our bikes. We're all veterans of Jazzfest and stayed all over the city and always enjoy the respite of this area after partying all day and night compared to the Marigny and FQ, or even downtown. Magazine is very close with all it has to offer from cuisine, bike shops for rentals and repairs, to the late night bars. Parking was never an issue, with two spots available inside the gated driveway. The house is adjacent to a school so on street parking can be challenging if you are trying to negotiate at the time school is starting/ending, but not an issue otherwise. Who drives anyway, with bike rentals and Uber available to visitors. The owner was very easy to work with, was available in a snap the one and only time we needed it, and the welcome fruits and food/coffee provided was a very warm gesture. Will definitely come back to this place next year.
Perfect house for a girls trip. The house was beautiful with a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. It was perfectly located for a quieter stay in New Orleans- just a few blocks from fun shops on Magazine St. and a short walk to the St. Charles Streetcar. The owner was great to work with and made things so easy. Phenomenal place!
This place is spectacular. The owner Matt is such a host. I went there with 4 adult and 4 kids and is so spacious, clean and all that U needed is provided for.
It near to restaurant and a few block away from the bus location. I will definitely chose this place again hand down!!
2 words.. Love It!!
House was as described perfect for our group of two couples and two singles. Would reserve for next year but owner plans on moving in. Beautiful, nice neighborhood, ez 3 block was to bus.
Mat's home is wonderful! So happy we chose it. We were three ladies fisiting from Seattle with two daughters. Plenty of room. It was a wonderful place to stay to see NOLA while picking up girls from Tulane. The house was very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the afternoon and cozying up on the comfy living room furniture in the evenings. We felt very safe and would love to come back again!
Wonderful place to stay. We were in town for a trade show and the house is a short drive from the New Orleans Convention Center. Interior of the home was updated and beautiful. We had five people in the house and had plenty of room.
Nice touch that the owner provided some snacks and beverages. Kitchen has everything needed.
The record player (yes that plays vinyl records) was incredible. We listened to all of the albums more than once!
Pleasant sitting out in the back enjoying the evening and having an off-street parking place was great.
Owner was prompt in answering any questions we had and providing information regarding the surrounding area.
All enjoyed our time in this great house!
