First Floor Condo Near Harvard, MIT & Subway (13R)

Bedrooms 1
Space 1,000 sq ft
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 0 - 5 nights

About the property

Condominium, 1 Bedroom, 1.0 Bathroom, (Sleeps 4)

My condo is situated on a quiet residential street in the heart of Cambridge. My condo provides the comfort and coziness of a true New England style residence including hardwood floors throughout and a back porch, my flat is truly a better way to experience all that Boston has to offer without being cramped in a small hotel room.

The Space

My condo is located on the first floor of a three story residential "triple decker". The bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed and memory foam mattress.

My condo accommodates 4 adults comfortably, as the living room has a double twin trundle with memory foam mattresses.

The dining room has seating for 6, perfect for inviting friends or relatives over for a nice relaxing dinner after a long day in the city. The kitchen is fully accessorized and has everything you need to prepare a delicious meal. If something is missing upon arrival, please let me know and I will do my best to provide it.

I try to do everything I can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I provide all linens including towels, hand towels and face towels, hand soap, laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent. My condo is even equipped with a home phone (local calls only) for international travelers who may not have cell service.

Parking: On street and free of charge.

Public Transportation: A car is really not necessary in Boston. Our public transportation system is really good. A single one-way ticket on the subway is $2.75. Depending on your stay I would recommend buying a multi-day pass, which are unlimited.

Harvard Sq: 1 subway stop away. (2 minute ride)

MIT/Charles River: 3 subway stops away. (5 minute ride)

Mass General Hospital: 4 subway stops away. (10 minute ride)

Boston Common: 5 subway stops away. (15 minute ride)

Guest Access

My guests will have full access to the entire condo.

Guestbook comments from the manager

The unit is nicely furnished. The location was convenient, and we had no trouble finding a parking space.

If Sean gets this, I would be very curious to know what brand of mattress topper was on the queen bed? It was very comfortable, and I haven't found one like it when I've looked.

Property not in great condition but the Management personnel (Shawn) was awesome and made our trip

  • 3 of 5

We arrived to the location and it had some issues, but once we brought the issues to Shawn, he went out of his way to take care of us. It ended up being a great trip largely because of Shawn and his team. Thank you!

Great spot to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Spent a weekend here with three friends and a pup -- the house was clean, comfortably accommodated four people, and it was just a quick walk to Davis Square (recommend Diesel Cafe & Nine Bar Espresso) -- it was everything we needed! The property manager was friendly and very responsive. All in all a lovely July weekend in Boston!

Adequate - Love the wood in the apartment

  • 3 of 5

We stayed 5 nights to visit our daughter in college.

1. The apartment gave us a genuine feel of Boston living and housing.

Quiet neighborhood.

2. Beds were very comfortable/cozy.

3. Close to the subway, shopping and historical sites.

4. Bathroom light was burned out and someone came to fix it the same day.

1. Bugs. Ants in the bathroom and a house centipede came out to visit us

one morning from under the bed in the living room. They are quite

creepy and run very fast.

2. Shawn was helpful for the most part. I would STRONGLY suggest not

leaving anything behind. We left at 3am and forgot to check the closet.

We left 3 men's shirts. I texted and called to let Shawn know. He said

he'd take care of it. I called and texted many more times and was told the

shirts were sent 2-day priority. I offered to pay the postage several

times....and was told not to worry about it. However I am still

waiting on the shirts. No reply to my texts. :o(

The welcome letter says they will have an information package 'just for you'. There was no such packet. I would suggest a list of restaurants, grocery stores and historical sites in the area that would help new comers navigate around the area.

Thank you

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for staying in our condo and taking the time to provide feedback regarding your stay. Its great to hear you had a good time in Boston. It really is a beautiful city. With the apartment so close to Davis and Porter, it is so easy to get around. Regarding your concerns. We do have a monthly pest control service, but sometimes little things slip by. Sorry about that. We do have a welcome packet that is emailed prior to your arrival that details local grocery stores, coffee shops, transportation options among many more things like laundry services wifi code, etc.. Lastly, the items you accidentally left behind were mailed out per several conversations we had. Once the items were mailed out, there was really nothing we could do after that point. I am sorry the items were lost in the mail :( I understand how frustrating that is. Thank you for taking the time to provide your comments. We take guest comments very seriously and address them as quickly as possible. Safe travels!

The place was in a good location for being close to who we were visiting. Sean was very helpful and considerate. The place had the basics that we needed for our stay.

Quiet and comfortable. Great Location!

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I loved staying in this spacious and quiet apartment to explore Cambridge and Somerville. We visited without our son, but he would have been comfortable there. The only downside for those with a child in tow is that there was no bathtub (only a shower) but on the plus side, there was a pack and play in the bedroom closet. All the amenities of home were available- laundry and a equipped kitchen. There was also very easy street parking.

We made enjoyed the wonderful restaurants of Davis and Union Square and enjoyed the easy T access to Boston.

Nice, clean, and comfortable place to stay.

  • 4 of 5

Quiet neighborhood within walking distance to shopping areas and restaurants. Manager responded quickly to requests and questions and was available by phone, email and text. Besides groceries, everything was provided for a comfortable stay.

The neighborhood has eclectic charm, authentic New England architecture and includes an array of coffee shops, fine dining and access to local transportation. Many travelers have said the area is more lively than Harvard Square. Upon arrival we urge you to explore the area, provide your feedback and let us know what you think!
