Sits over the garage with NO SHARED WALLS and UNOBSTRUCTED OCEAN VIEWS. Private entrance located in the alley, 2nd house in from Claremont Ave. Secure gate and front door with keyless keypad entries. Sleeps 1-4. Remodeled in the summer of 2012 and furnished in September 2013 for Homeaway use. EVERYTHING IS BRAND NEW. Large bathroom with washer and dryer. Living Room has a Futon style sofa and flat screen TV. High Speed Internet and Cable TV. Bedroom has a Queen bed. Beautiful white kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Window A/C unit located at the kitchen window, installed 10/01/15. Contemporary style throughout with amazing views from the kitchen, dining room and living room. Private staircase. Walk to the bay, 2nd Street shops, restaurants and bars. Exercise on the boardwalk just out front on the beach or simply sunbathe all day long! Grocery store is approximately 1 mile down Ocean. There is a bus system available on 2nd St. Try out Kite Surfing just out front or rent kayaks and paddle boards at the Bay. Convenient to a lot of freeways (405, 605, 710, 22). Approximately 45 minutes to LAX or 15 min to LGB. Around 2 hours to San Diego or Big Bear Mountain.

I chose this rental in the first place because I used to live nearby and wanted to visit old friends during my stay. I ended up loving the place. Very clean, great location and excellent communication with the owner. I know we will return for a longer stay...I only hope my rave review won't make everybody and their mother want to stay there and make it impossible for us to book a date as a result. :)
This property was well taken care of and has all the things you need for a stay. Great views, comfortable bed for a reasonable price. It was very clean and tidy.
This was a nice apartment that directly looks at the beach.
4 stars because it did not have as many extras as some other properties. For example, there was no extra toilet paper, so after the roll ran out, we had to go purchase more. The blinds have been well loved, so they were difficult to move up and down. Poor shower pressure and no extra soaps or shampoos.
Perks. Directly looks at beach, easy parking, good size place for 2 people, washer and dryer, close to 2nd, Whole foods and Trader Joes close.
This is a very nice place. Nice view of the ocean and clean and well equipped. Smooth and easy access.
VRBO description of the property was accurate. It was very clean, modern and very quiet. All appliances were up to date. Lots of clean towels. Window unit air conditioner functioned well. No private outdoor space for the apt., but, hey, you have the ocean beach right across the blvd. Parking can be a bit of a hassle, particularly on week-end "beach" days, but we had no problem--usually parking within one to two blocks of the apt. Would definitely recommend. Paul
