Great place to stay in Honolulu
Great place to stay in Honolulu. Nice central location, good view from the apartment, kitchenette was quite useful and the parking in the building is priceless. Because there just isn’t any on the street.
Nice view, peaceful stay
The unit is as pictured and was comfortable. Another bedside table & lite would be helpful. The recliner chair is still non-operational. The kitchen could use dish soap & a dishpan for washing the dishes. An area of concern is that someone nearby was smoking. Whenever we had the slider opened, we could smell the strong smell of smoke. On one occasion, it actually set off the smoke alarm! That’s when I contacted front desk/security, they came to check and agreed it was a strong smell. As this is supposed to be non-smoking, I hope something can be done. (I recently stayed in another unit in the same area a few flights down, and faced the same issue with probably same person smoking. Perhaps owners can check with management to resolve this.). Otherwise, it was a nice stay and liked the view, not facing another unit.
Waikiki in November
As a retired Canadian couple we found both the property and its location a great fit. The owner was very responsive, quickly addressing a couple of minor issues. We would definitely rent this property again.x
Hi Ralph and Carol.
Thank you for staying at our condo. I will let you know our future schedule. I opened up reservations thru June 2020 and may open up July later this month
We had an awesome stay here, love the location and the accessibility. Parking garage is hassle free, no keys needed for the elevator and the condo door is pin access so you can’t lose or forget the key! The massage chair was broken which was a bummer for us, but everything else was great. Thanks Ron!
Perfect location! Perfect view!
The pictures pretty accurately show the unit, the exceptions are minor. It is very well located within a short walk to the beach and the zoo. The view is wonderful; we left the drapes open day and night the entire week we were there. We knew it was a mountain view and much prefer this to the heat of the ocean view. Because it is on the 23rd floor of Tower II, the view is not blocked by other buildings and it's beautiful both day and night. It was very relaxing to sit on the lanai at the end of the day. It was very quiet when we were there. As you walk down the hall, you can hear conversations, tv, etc., but once you are in the unit, the noise is gone. As others have mentioned, parking and wifi were real pluses. We never had a problem finding parking. We were there in October, don't know if this could be different in the height of the season.
We did do some cooking in the unit. If you plan on cooking at least some of your meals, bring along some basics (salt, pepper, garlic, mixed seasoning like trader Joe's 21 or other mixed spices) as there are no seasonings in the unit. You might also want to bring along detergent if you'll want to do laundry down the hall (at the time of our visit, you would need $2 in quarters for each a load of wash and a load to dry). There is a change machine available downstairs.
Oh, and you can get a Dole Whip in the place off the lobby!
The Honolulu Zoo is one block away and features concerts in the park on Wednesday evening during the Summer. The Waikiki Aquarium is about 4 blocks away down the beach. Or get up early in the morning to hike majestic Diamond Head.
