“It’s Your Dream, That Makes it Ours, Too!
Assisting folks in finding their Alaska home and property is our passion. Professional, friendly and available service with local knowledge.
We decided long ago that it would be a natural choice to also share our local expertise and love of our great state with not just homes and properties but with vacations too.
Jacque was born on Elmendorf AFB and is an Air Force brat. Her pop served 23 1/2 years and was stationed all over the US and Tripoli Libya. After his retirement in 1982, the family moved to Wasilla Alaska and has been here since. Jacque also has a background as a Palmer and Wasilla police officer so she knows the back roads and neighborhoods very well. She became licensed in and joined her husband Larry in real estate in 2001.
Larry is a Montana transplant and fell in love with Alaska from the minute he arrived. He understands the draw to move to this amazing state. If you need any fishing tips, he is always willing to share that advice as well! He has been licensed in real estate since 1997. Larry is well versed in negotiations and the current status of the market.
We both really enjoy meeting new people and sharing our local knowledge to folks visiting our area.
Larry & Jacque
Larry and Jacque have made the Mat-Su Valley our home. It is a beautiful and rewarding place to live and work. The location is very convenient for us and for our guests. It is located in the heart of Wasilla and close to not only the local tourist attractions and adventures (the Iditarod Headquarters, the Alaska Railroad Wasilla station, Hatchers Pass, Independence Mine to name a few). Shopping (groceries, clothing, gear or souvenirs), restaurants, a 12 plex movie theater, trails, rivers, creeks and certainly mountains are very close by.
Located in the heart of Wasilla, 'Alaska Dreams' is an Alaskan themed vacation rental with all the amenities. Comfy furnishings, a large flat screen television, private deck and wifi will make you feel at home while you live your Alaskan adventure.
Alaska Dreams was a perfect place to stay for our honeymoon. The location was quiet, very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed to relax during our special time. We plan on coming back in years to come and we will stay at Alaska Dreams.
We stayed at the Alaska Dreams cabin for a full week while we visited friends in the Wasilla area. The cabin is perfect for a small family, with a full kitchen, well furnished living room and large bedroom upstairs. Having two bathrooms was also a plus. The cabin was very clean, everything worked and it was very convenient to get to the highway to go to Denali or Anchorage or any other adventure that we wanted to go on. We loved it.
I actually stayed at two of Larry and Jacque's cabins over the course of about a month and a half and I have to say their cabins are really great. They were very well maintained and appeared exactly like the photos. The cabins have everything you need, whether it's for a short stay or a longer stay: pots and pans, tupperware, spices, blenders. They were also always reachable for even the smallest of questions or problems and always came immediately to fix them.
Larry and Jacque were incredilby friendly and helpful - I'd definitely stay at these cabins if I'm in the area again.
The close proximity to the Walmart is also a really big plus!
The absolutely nicest place we stayed on our trip to Alaska. The cottage has every possible creature comfort. Lovely kitchen, beautifully appointed throughout, washer and dryer, microwave, great flat screen TV, convenient location, Alaskan decor. It was clean and everything was top quality.
The owners were more than hospitable. Great folks.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone in the Anchorage area and would love to return.
We loved seeing Hatcher Pass and the Independence abandoned gold mine.
This charming themed cabin was a perfect home away from home for our family of 4 until we were able to move into our new home in Wasilla. The furnished cabin is new and extremely clean and comfortable, and the kitchenette made mealtime quick and budget-friendly. Wireless internet and a large flat screen t.v. with satellite were also nice to have during our extended stay. The "Alaska Dreams" unit even had a convenient bathroom upstairs. We enjoyed the privacy of having the cabin all to ourselves, as opposed to a hotel room, yet it was more affordable than a hotel room. Also, the nice gas stove with thermostat keeps the unit quite "toasty" warm, not a bit drafty in the winter. The owners were very friendly and extremely helpful, even giving great tourist advice. They provided amenities down to the very detail, such as plush towels, family board games, and children's books and Alaska books on the bookshelf. Finally, the unit has easy access (about a mile) to the Parks Highway, Walmart, and the new movie theater in Wasilla, yet enjoys a rural front door view, with moose as the frequent neighbors. We really enjoyed our stay here!!
My family and I have stayed in furnished cabins and extended stays in Talkeetna, Anchorage, Soldotna, Sterling, Fairbanks, Cantwell, etc., etc., etc, and this was the BEST of the best. We moved in as a temporary place to stay, and ended up extendeing our stay to over four months. Larry and Jacque were fantastic hosts, and made sure we had EVERYTHING we needed. They put a new spin on the words "all inclusive". Describing the cabins as "fully furnished" is almost an insult to how much detail and effort Jacque put into stocking and furnishing the cabins.
We were initially a bit reluctant of the the locations because I grew up in Wasilla, and the location sounded sort of close to the "city", but the neighborhood was very peaceful and quiet. We played in the yard and felt like we had a little country retreat. The kids had just enough woods and yard to have little adventures, but we were also close enough to amenities that we could walk to the nicest restaraunt in town and Wal-Mart was a two minute drive.
To be critical, which was very difficult, the cabin is a bit hard to keep warm when it is -10*. To be realistic, there aren't many houses in Alaska that aren't difficult to keep warm at -10*. (I used to be a home energy inspector, so I can speak with authority on the subject.) We just had more -10* days this year that I've seen in a long time.
Parking and space was ample. We parked a 36' motor home in the driveway, and didn't encroach on anyone's space. I think at the peak of parking with visitors and other guests, we had a car, two vans, a truck, a big SUV, and a motor home parked in the driveway, and I still played and sledded in the yard with my three kids.
We would and have recommended staying here to others. The prices are exceptionally reasonable given what is offered. We paid 25% more for a comprobable place this winter, and were sorely disappointed. I think Larry and Jacque's property has likely spoiled us for life. We'll likely have to lower our expectations to enjoy a stay anywhere else.
Great for a long weekend getaway, girls trip, vacation home away from home, spa weekend, retreat, family reunion, class reunion, honeymoon, anniversary getaway or simply a place to rest your head while you search for your permanent home.
