Our cabin features 5 bedrooms plus a loft, 4 full bathrooms, large patio with a wood burning fireplace, full kitchen with all cooking amenities and plenty of toys and games for the kids. We, my family of four and my brothers’ family of four, bought this as a second home to get away from the Phoenix heat. The cabin was originally three bedroom and we recently completed a remodel, adding two additional bedrooms and extending the front patio. We take great pride in our cabin and have created many lasting memories with family and friends. It is a great place to connect and enjoy the beautiful weather on the Mogollon Rim.
We hope you enjoy your time in Forest Lakes as much as we do!
This is a perfect getaway from the Phoenix heat. We live in Phoenix and the cabin is 2 hours door to door.
The cabin is also well equipped, for those vacationing with children. We have a highchair, children's plates, cups and utensils and lots of games/toys.
We spent the holiday's with the extended family at the cabin, and even with the multitude of grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, and sisters running around we never felt cramped. The outdoor patio was fabulous (though the fireplace didn't stand up to the snowstorm that rolled through and dropped 8" on us) - but even when we were huddled in side we had more than enough room for all of us. The cabin was beyond stocked with pantry items, games, etc. John was a fabulous host, communicated promptly, and thankfully warned us to bring a 4x4 as those of us who didn't listen got stuck in the driveway mid-snowstorm for awhile. We had a great time and if we ever convince ourselves all this family should get together in one place at one time again, John's cabin will be high on our list.
The owners were great and very accessible. The property itself is large and very easily accommodates a large group (we had 9 adults). There are plenty of beds and bathrooms, the home is well stocked with whatever you would need (paper goods, towels, toiletries, spices, condiments, etc.). The outdoor deck is a great place to hang out with some friends and enjoy the fire and a few adult beverages. Couldn't recommend this home higher.
This was a family get together, as we live in Az & Cali. We all had such an amazing time at John's cabin. We could relax on the huge, beautiful patio or play darts or beanbag toss or horseshoes! So many activities to choose from! The kitchen is so well stocked with all the pots, pans & utensils you could ask for!! Even a full sIze crockpot!! Plenty of spices too! We weren't able to have fires because of the restrictions, but to be honest, we didn't even miss that. John was available for any & all questions I had. Numerous times during our 4 night stay, comments were made about how accommodating & comfortable the cabin was. Our asssorted families of 14 had such a wonderful, memory-filled time!! Thanks, John! Can't wait to come back!
Incredible Cabin. Pictures dont do it justice. Can sleep a few couples and kids. Great outdoor fireplace under the cover. Watched it rain/Snow from the heat of the fire. So many things to do in the outdoors.
Secluded and rustic. It backs up to the national forest so it is very quiet and comfortable. Huge bedrooms and plenty of extra beds for family and kids.
This Cabin is just perfect for a family getaway. It has plenty of room for everyone to find a place to sleep and the outdoor living space is gigantic and perfect. We spent a little too much time on this porch and the wine was flowing just a little toooo nice. The time seemed to slow down in Forest lakes at this little retreat. Thank you to the owner, he was very helpful.
