New Vacation Rental! Welcome to La Casa Amarilla de la Flor or The Yellow Flower House. If you are looking for a comfortable stay in a beachfront location nestled in a protected bay, our home is for you.
This apartment is equipped with 2 queen beds and 1 double bed, spread out between 2 rooms and a loft space. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, tiled countertops and plenty of cooking utensils for you to use during your stay. There is air conditioning throughout the apartment There is also a washer for you to use as well as a hotel safe large enough for you to put in your laptop and camera equipment.
Enjoy your breakfast on the large balcony in view of the ocean, curl up in a hammock and absorb yourself in your latest book and/or later in the evening, sip your favorite beverage as the sun sets over the point or sea- depending on the time of year. The balcony is also a great viewpoint to watch shore birds, a host of hummingbirds and in certain seasons migrating birds.
If you want to be more active, rent a kayak and explore the bay and the reef only 300 yards from the beach. If you are a swimmer, you can also swim out to the reef to explore and enjoy the coral and sea life. The island offers a little something for everyone, such as diving, fishing and sailing, just to name a few. If you are interested in exploring other parts of the island, places like Carambola Botanical Garden or Gumbalimba Park would be a great place to go for a day trip.
Mangrove Bight is located in a quiet residential area just outside of West End. You can spend you days relaxing and enjoying the sun, swim out to the reef and kayak, or head into West End for dinner or to check out the night life. The walk from Yellow Flower House to West End is about 20-25 minutes and is fine during the day. At night time it would be a good idea to take flashlights and grab a cab. Public lighting is scarce on Roatan so the back road tends to get quite dark at night. Renting a car is a great idea to add to your mobility.
