Lawson Rock's most luxurious Oceanfront unit, Seahorse 104, features unbeatable views and the privacy of being a corner unit. While the interior is fantastic, most of our guests find they spend their time on the covered patio and wraparound beach front private pool. This 3 bedroom 4 bath unit can accommodate 8 guests comfortably; there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your vacation.
As you enter the circular foyer, this unit features a full powder bath for guests to use. Down the hall the ocean view emerges as you come into an L shaped, open concept living/dining area with a large, fully modern and stocked, chefs kitchen for you to enjoy. There is ample room to relax and sit in this great area with the kitchen bar, conversation pit and TV area. All areas are comfortable options. You will love the Honduran hardwood cabinets and doors throughout.
The bedrooms are a split plan and truly feature 3 large, spacious bedrooms all within. The first master bedroom features a king-sized bed with a private patio and private entrance to the oceanfront pool. The master bath has a jacuzzi and shower, with an additional entrance to an outside shower. The second master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a private bathroom with a jacuzzi, shower, and an additional, larger shower that is outside, but with a covering over it. The guest bedroom is oversized and has 2 queen beds for added occupancy. This bathroom also has a jacuzzi and shower, and leads to the hallway of the second master bedroom. Each bedroom features Egyptian cotton sheets and a light comforter so you're sure to slumber in tropical comfort.
The patio has seating for 10 or more guests and a large stainless BBQ for you to enjoy during your stay. The biggest decision you'll have when you leave the patio is whether to take the steps to the pool or to the beach, which is truly right there. Lawson Rock features over 3000 feet of beachfront and guests love to stroll and enjoy our beaches and go snorkeling. There are also ample tropical grounds to explore, 3 community pools if you want to meet your neighbors, a Sports bar and workout facility. This makes for a desirable combination of resort amenities in a private community with 24 hr security, fully automatic backup power, onsite concierge and property management and wireless internet and SAT TV for you to enjoy. Why miss the comforts of home when you can just add a tropical paradise onto them?
My husband and I always rent a house or condo when we travel and I am very thorough in my research of places. I was selecting this place based on being able to snorkel off the beach in a place where the reef was fairly close to swim to. Also we didn't want to be in the crowds of West End or West Bay.
The snorkeling was very good right on location especially around the boat dock marina believe it or not.Lots of sea life, coral, sponges, etc. The kayak availability was always there of course. There was literally no one every on the beach: we had it all to ourselves. Lawson Rock should have someone raking the beach however of debris. The rest of the stretch of beach does have debris as well but it seemed like some of it got raked up during the week. The island as a whole needs to address the garbage issue as it is finding it's way to some of the beaches and ultimately water. This beach is also a very long stretch to walk on which is rare on the island. We love to walk and the only other place to walk is the road and it is very narrow. Not an ideal environment.
However Lawson Rock ( which is the development of the condo) does have a gym. I tried to use the bike but it is very old and not a good model. The treadmill was broken. I didn't really like the eliptical but suppose others might. The lap pool was delightful and I had the entire pool to myself whenever I went. In fact the other time we really saw other people was at sunset on their beautiful dock which had an upper and very comfy lower deck facing that direction.
The condo itself was impeccable . Extremely clean, and well maintain. Very comfy beds, robes and all amenieties of a hotel. Internet and TV channels, DVD player excellent in all bedrooms. AC was get . Our pool was right there on the ocean. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. In fact we loved it so much we went real estate shopping and still loved this place the best. Might buy a place.
Our 3 couples really enjoyed our stay here for a week. The elegant 3 bedroom unit is right on the beach with a private swimming pool. We used the pool everyday to cool off and relax after fishing or snorkeling. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. Having security gaurds on site 24-7 made us feel very safe.
First class all the way. Beautifully appointed, stone and marble, full appliances in kitchen, lots of sofas, tables, chairs. Even cute stemmed martini glasses! Internet worked just fine (quality of TV reception could have been a little better).
Fabulous and extensive patios, sitting right on the beach. Access to kayaks. Infinity pool on our own patio.
Best part -- property management was so helpful; everything we needed was taken care of. We'd definitely stay there again.
This was our first trip to Roatan and we loved it! Your home offered everything we needed and the location was perfect for us. We had a rented vehicle so we were able to see much of the island and try many of the restaurants. Snorkeling right outside our door was a nice plus and we loved having use of the kayaks. People in the office were very helpful and all of the staff was very friendly even though we could not communicate with some of them. Would we go back--we certainly hope To! Lawson Rock is located in Sandy Bay on the North Shore of Roatan. It is only a 10 minute drive from the international airport and grocery stores in Coxen Hole, making it quick and easy to reach once you get to the island. If you are interested in exploring the nightlife, dive shops and snorkel spots in West End and West Bay, that's just another 10-20 minutes down the road. A car isn't necessary at this location, as it is easy to take taxis to wherever you would like to go. But if you plan on going out a lot, a car is recommended and can be kept at the parking lot within Lawson Rock.
Lawson Rock is a planned community that offers 24/7 security, parking area, kayaks for you to explore the reef and an on-site restaurant and gym. There is a beautiful garden in the center of the condos for you to explore and experience the native plants of Roatan.
