3 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, large fully equipped gourmet kitchen, 60 inch flat screen TV. Large bright open kitchen that opens out with french doors to a romantic patio with lots of seating, night cafe lights, outdoor heater and BBQ. Three queen size Memory Foam mattresses, plus double size air mattress if needed. Travertine and Maple hardwood floors, new appliances, 1800 square feet home and adjacent outdoor patio with comfortable seating.

Great West LA location near beach and city, very convenient location for Los Angeles, quiet, nice neighborhood with great neighbors. One car off street parking in driveway, plus plenty of street parking with no permit required.

The home is all remodeled with lots of travertine, sky lights, french doors and natural light. All closets have organizers, ready for your things. The bathrooms are clean and bright with blow dryers and other appliances. House has ironing board and all top of the line cookware and appliances in the kitchen.

Rental includes all linens, beach towels and most anything you would need. Just bring yourself and your bags to enjoy this contemporary, modern home that is well located in a convenient neighborhood that is very close to everything; 3 miles to Santa Monica and Venice Beach, 1/2 mile to Santa Monica and Brentwood, 1 Mile to Westwood and UCLA, blocks from the 10 and 405 freeways which will get you to downtown or LAX in 15 minutes, Hollywood in 15-20 minutes, Venice Beach or Marina del Rey in 10-15 minutes. Century City or Beverly Hills in 10-15 minutes. parking.

There is a guest house on the property with separate entrance that can be rented with the house or without for $119 per night plus cleaning fee of $50. The guest house may be rented to separate guests and they will enter and exit through a side gate and have their own separate yard area at the very back of the property. There is an 8 foot privacy gate between the two yards.

The entire property has wireless internet and cable TV.

About Mary Steele

I helped design and remodel the entire home in 2000 for myself and my family. I created a Jack and Jill Bath for my two children and a Master Bedroom Ensuite that is separate from the rest of the house. All materials and equipment are top of the line and the home is very comfortable. My kids are grown and I now live in Marina del Rey.

The property is in a nice,quiet neighborhood, close to grocery stores, and a few miles to the beach.

We absolutely loved our stay! Mary was very accomodating to us when we had questions, and for the little things that came up that we needed help with. The house is supplied with everything you need for cooking. There are also plenty of pillows and blankets and extra mattresses if you need them. We especially enjoyed the back patio in the evening. Very quaint with subtle lighting. A perfect “homeaway from home” experience!

A great experience

Mary was a spectacular host. She responded to inquiries in a timely manner, and she proactively made sure we had all of the information we needed for our stay.

The house is in a quiet neighborhood and we felt completely safe there.

As far as downsides, there were few. The house isn’t new - it could use a fresh coat of paint, the appliances are older, some of the wood floors and window treatments are beat up, and the baseboard in the bathrooms seem to have some old water damage. However, everything was clean, in working order, and the house smelled fine. Beds were comfortable and towels and linens were clean as well.

Appreciated the info guide left at the house by Mary with relevant info for our stay. Also very much appreciated the TV with Netflix and streaming TV service made available.

Mary was available by text/phone during our stay, and she was quick to respond, as usual.

Overall, it was a great experience, and we would most definitely come back if we have the opportunity.

Comfortable house for family stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this property.We were a party of 3 generations, 6 adults,1child and 2 babies from the UK on holiday for 2 weeks. We all felt we had plenty of room and the beds were very comfortable. Mary kindly supplied 2 pack and play cribs.

Unfortunately there was one major problem that Mary was unable to resolve for us. The drier was not working and Mary advised us that the engineer was waiting for a part and as we were there at holiday time (Dec 26th-Jan 9th) no one knew when it would be fixed. Mary allowed us to use the drier in the guest house in the garden when no one was staying there - there were 3 lots of guests during our visit so this was not always easy to negotiate. We also had to avoid the times when the cleaners were in between guests and they were laundering the bedding. This seriously impacted on our holiday. As previously said we were a large party ( 6 adults,1 child and 2 babies) on holiday for 2 weeks and we found we had to juggle days out/visits etc around the times we could use the drier. It was such a shame.

As mentioned in other reviews the property could do with some upgrading and repairs but if it hadn't been for the constant anxiety around the drier we would have given a higher rating.

Fabulous property in West LA!

We stayed in this delightful home while visiting family in Mar Vista. It was perfect! Very clean, bright, great kitchen and very well stocked with plenty of dishes. Outdoor patio is a delightful space that we really enjoyed. The Bar-B-Q seemed brand new and worked well! The neighborhood is very quiet yet friendly and all the yards and houses are well cared for. A great place in West LA! Owner and her assistant were very attentive, though we did not have any needs or issues. Would definitely stay here again.

Well located but property needs work

This house is in a great neighborhood and mostly very quiet. We were not made aware that there was construction going on immediately next door. Luckily they were not there the entire time. There were many problems with this house. We let Mary know each time we found something broken and she came immediately or sent someone to fix. There were many things need fixing and probably needs replacing.

There is a beautiful Studio Guest House on the very back of the property which can be rented with the house if needed for $119 per night and accommodated 2-3 people.
