There were 8 of us, 5 adults, 3 kids, ages 2-70. Spinnaker has a great floorplan with plenty of room for everyone. The kids enjoyed the pool and the selection of pool toys. It's an easy walk to Tigertail Beach. I would recommend crossing the lagoon rather than walking all the way around (fewer people, lots of shells). Everything you need for the beach is provided: bikes of different sizes, beach umbrellas, beach towels, sand toys, boogie boards, coolers... you name it. We often used the dining area by the pool for breakfast, lunch and dinner so we could take in the beautiful view of the waterway and watch for dolphins. No complaints - beds were comfortable and everything was clean and well organized. We will definitely book here again if we come back to Marco.
Just got back from a week in this great beach house. It was our first time on Marco Island but we've spent some time in other parts of southwest Florida and usually book rentals. We've had quite a few houses that didn't live up to the pictures but this one was exactly as it's depicted. Everything was very clean when we arrived and the whole rental process from start to finish by The Holiday Life went very smoothly.
The beds were very comfortable and the overall layout of the house works well. The bunk bed room is right when you walk in the front door, then there is a King bedroom and a Queen bedroom that share a full bath tucked off to the right, with the master bedroom a bit separate from there. The kitchen is fully equipped and a nice gas grill so we cooked most of our meals there and ate them right on the patio.
There were so many little things included that made it feel like home - tons of pool toys, beach toys, beach chairs, umbrellas, fishing rods, bikes, bluetooth speaker, a netflix connection, you name it! Our 14 year old was in heaven fishing from the docks - he caught a ton of catfish, a few small snapper, a blow fish and some sheepshead. Of course the 3 year old also had to try his hand at fishing so we bought him a kids fishing rod and a small net, which we left in the garage for the next guests!
The location is nice and an easy walk/bike ride to TigerTail beach. We usually drove though because we had a lot of gear. The trek across the lagoon is a bit of a pain and not something we wanted to go through every day, so we went down to the South Marco Island beach twice.
Our only complaint was not at all related to the house - the bugs in late June were crazy bad. We were always covered in bug spray but still getting eaten alive, especially if we ventured outside the screened in porch. We've been all over Florida this time of year and this was probably the worst we've seen, maybe because of the canal behind the house? Just remember to bring plenty of bug spray!
A couple other tips - we rented a pontoon boat from Isle of Capri Marina and they were awesome - go check out the beach at Keewaydin. We had an anniversary dinner at Marco Polo and it was perfect, they picked us up in a limo and even though it's an older-style restaurant the food was great and people super friendly.
We stayed for one week at this beautiful, extremely comfortable home. It was immaculate at the time of our arrival. We were a group of 3 couples, and each couple had their own private bathroom. It was peaceful, quiet, and so relaxing with a tremendous outdoor area. Sitting on the covered lanai provided a perfect view of the canal. The large swimming pool was also contained within the lanai, which was only a few steps from the main house. The very expansive beach was an easy, few minute walk. There were bikes provided to ride and explore the island. There were many excellent restaurants and grocery stores within close proximity to the house. We would very highly recommend this well maintained home! R & R (09/2015)
I’ve heard so many great things about Marco Island that I decided I had to go see it for myself. What a beautiful island! After researching rentals, I picked Spinnaker based on the reviews and photographs. I’m happy to say, I made the right choice! Spinnaker is a gorgeous home on a quiet street. It is located minutes away from Tigertail Beach and is close to cute shops and fun restaurants/bars. The house is spacious and immaculate. The beds are extremely comfortable. The large kitchen has been recently renovated and includes stainless steel appliances The decor is tastefully done. We grilled on the patio while the kids played in the pool. Of course, there was a bike ride to the local ice cream shop after dinner. The owners have gone above and beyond to make this a comfortable stay for their guests. I couldn’t have asked for a better vacation! Already planning on a return visit to Spinnaker next summer!
My wife and I came here for a romantic getaway. We could not have been happier. The house is big enough for about 3-4 families. Bedrooms and baths were immaculate. We loved the fishing off the dock, we caught enough Red Snapper for a nice grilled fish supper. (the house comes with a Gas Grill). Tiger tail beach is beautiful and only a block away and with the bikes provided with the house takes about 2 min. After a long day the heated pool, a glass of wine the perfect setting for a romantic evening. The kitchen is beautiful with new appliances and all the amenities. Internet worked perfect and the huge wall mounted television was a treat to keep up with current events. In the morning we would ride the bikes to Starbucks about a 10 min. ride for our morning coffee. During our visit there were several Dolphins and even a Manatee swimming in the beautiful canal in the back yard. The pictures do not give it justice the layout is wide open. I plan on returning next year.
I could not have been happier with our recent stay at this property. The pictures were amazing but didn't do it justice. We walked in the front door and were completely blown away by the wide open layout and the pool that that immediately invites you to jump in before settling. Once you walk out into the lanai you are greeted with a great view of the canals. We even saw a manatee and a dolphin swimming behind the house during our visit. There were 8 of us staying in the house; the home's size allowed privacy as well as spacious gathering areas where everyone could be together for meals and socializing. Beyond the house, everything was either accessible by bike (provided in the garage with the rental) or walking. We rented a car but didn't even use it during our stay because we opted to take the bike everywhere we went. I am already planning our next vacation to Marco Island at this property, but it appears it books fast so I have to plan way ahead. I also am telling everyone I know about Marco Island and this house if they are looking for a nice relaxing vacation in an area with very little tourists.
