The property owners were helpful & delightful.

The cabin was ready upon our arrival- clean, welcome basket (thank you), bed made, clean towels, etc.

The location was great. Lots to do in the area & we were able to rest was we wished- cook out on the grill, fire pit with plenty of wood provided, comfortable rockers on the porch.

Wonderful! Very well cared for, cozy log cabin. Hosts were outstanding!!

  • 5 of 5

this is a beautiful little cabin, very nicely furnished and exquisite attention to detail & needs of the guests. We loved campfire and roasting marshmallows in yard, making dinners and relaxing on front porch or indoor couch. Beds were very comfortable and all linens very clean and well cared for.

We highly recommend this cabin and the great hospitality of Terry & Lori

A great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

This is a cozy little cabin that is a great alternative to the mediocre hotels/motels in the area (The Equinox excepted). The owners are friendly and the grounds are well maintained. Everything you need for your stay is there, including Lori's welcome basket of muffins, cheese, crackers, popcorn, and cookies! Very nice! The place is as described and pictured in the listing.

Everything was clean and in its place. Everything worked as it should. The porch rockers are very comfortable and the backyard picnic table, fire pit, BBQ, and hammock were first rate. It was very nice having our own outside space to enjoy.

The only challenges are the ladder-like stairs to the loft. They take some getting used to but are not that hard once you use them a couple of times. People with difficulty maneuvering and small children should not be using them.

One advantage for us was the ability to store our horse trailer on the property. The VSF does not provide on-site storage so this is a real benefit. Thanks to Terry and Lori for making this space available.

The General Store across the street is great-convienience items and a decent deli are a short walk away.

We cooked some simple meals and found the convection microwave and 2 burner stovetop to be adequate for our needs. The BBQ outside is large and cooks very well.

This was a great space for my wife, daughter, and I to stay for our week at the horse show. I would recommend it to anyone! We will definitely be returning!

What a wonderful time. The cabin was perfect for the 2 of us, looked brand new. Alot of detail all around the cabin. From a beautiful small kitchen, to all the lights having dimmers, lots of lighting outside which made it nice to have a bonfire, and the loft is such a nice touch. Terry and his wife were wonderful hosts. Terry built us a bonfire and upon arrival a basket of crackers, cookies and Vermont cheese in the fridge. We will definitely be coming back in the fall!!!

Perfect relaxing getaway

  • 5 of 5

KP and John stayed two nights in this cabin that had everything we needed, excellent attention to detail and a some very nice surprises!

After a day watching a graduation, we stopped by a a local grocery store and bought burgers for the grill. We met the owner and got a little tour. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner with, oil, butter, spices, linens... They even put some Vermont cheddar cheese in the frig and a basket of crackers and biscuits on the table. There were several coffee selections for the Keurig. We ate breakfast in the rocking chairs on the farmers porch each morning and we sat at the picnic table for dinner.. We cooked on the grill and sat at the fire-pit with Tiki torches lit. There was plenty of firewood., kindling, and matches.

The cabin is well built, nicely landscaped, decorated and adorable. They even left us a candle. So many little unexpected touches were there that we totally enjoyed and appreciated. There is even a nice rope swing in front of the farmers porch!

There is high end outlet shopping, antique shops and country stores about 10 miles south in Manchester. There is a little antique shop directly across the street. There are endless hiking trails right behind the property in the Green Mt. National Forest. Saturday we took a nice hike around Little Rock Pond, then went antiquing. We came home to find the shower was hot, and plenty of pressure.

My only regret is that we did not get to stay longer. I hope to return to the cabin this fall during peak foliage. I will absolutely recommend to friends.
