Cliff Edge Villa

A cliff-edge breezy villa facing the Atlantic. Quiet and secure residential neighborhood. Grocery nearby. Dramatic cliff-side views and scenic evening strolls.

The Villa is located in a very quiet residential neighborhood therefore we do not allow gatherings other than those registered for the stay without prior approval.

There are 3 ensuite bedrooms, all with terraces opening onto the sea. Perfect for 3 couples or a larger family. A foldout couch is suitable for small children. The morning sunrise over the ocean greets you from the balcony and can be appreciated with an early dip in the pool before coffee. Screening the sun by early afternoon, the shaded 2 level terrace overlooks the pool with the ocean just fifty yards beyond.

Two identical spacious master suites are upstairs with ensuite baths, all opening onto the upper terrace facing the ocean. The modern equipped kitchen and granite island seating expands outside as a focal point for conversation and relaxed dining on the tiled terrace.

Fully equipped, the coastal get-away has cable HD TV, local phone and stable wi-fi. The traditional Barbados multi-louvered house design, without glassed windows, provides constant flowing ocean breeze and a cool airy atmosphere. At night and during quiet moments of the day, you can hear the ocean surging against the rocks below.

The immaculately maintained 200 square foot pool faces the cliff with ledge seating for meditating on the deep blue and turquoise horizon. A gas-fired BBQ allows for quick grilling of fresh fish from Oistens market. Less than 15 minutes from the airport, the safe residential neighborhood is quiet in the evenings for relaxing strolls along the escarpment and lanes.

Two beautiful white sandy beaches, including the world-famous Crane resort, are within 10 minutes’ drive north of the house, and more calm Caribbean beaches are plentiful 15-30 minutes south along the coast to Bridgetown. A grocery store and bakery is a short walk from the house, with a quick connection to the main island highway allowing fast access to tourist areas.

Great holiday home

Communication from the minute we booked was superb. David the house manager met us at the airport and took us to the home, showed us how everything worked and even took us to do a couple of food shops throughout our stay. Beds were comfortable, villa was lovely and spacious and the pool was great. Views over the ocean will be something that I’ll never forget! Thank you for giving us a great base to visit this amazing island!

Idyllic

Peace of Sea Villa delivers exactly what you expect from the photos. It will not disappoint with its truly spectacular views and proximity to the ocean. Highly recommended!! We spent 19 days there over the festive season. The villa is new, clean and bright. It is decorated beautifully and fully equipped with all amenities. In addition a housekeeper came every week to change the bedding and do general cleaning. The highlight though is its situation and the indescribably beautiful views. The whole front of the house opens to the sea, so even when you are indoors you feel like you are outside. Sitting on the upstairs balcony early in the morning and late in the afternoon is heavenly. The area is residential, so mostly quiet. Being the festive season there was some activity in the surrounding homes, but nothing that was noisy or intrusive. It is preferable to have a car if you want to get around, although the bus stop is within walking distance if you prefer. Some reviews have commented on the noise from departing aeroplanes. For our aviation-mad family this was actually a big plus, and one reason to chose this particular property! My husband and son had flight-radar 24 apps on their devices and spent as much time as possible spotting planes. I would stress that there was no actual disturbance to us. The numbers of flights are few and concentrated at particular times of the day. Phillip was extremely helpful throughout the booking process, answering questions in advance of our stay, and even calling the villa while we were there to check that we were settling in ok. He asked his property manager David to pick us up from the airport. Given that we were very tired after 2 days of travelling it was a most welcome gesture. He offered to stop by the grocery store for supplies as well. David was always available for small issues such as light bulbs that needed changing, and he arranged for someone to fix the freezer when it stopped working. He also came intermittently to check and clean the pool during our stay. We had a fantastic few weeks, felt completely relaxed and rejuvenated by the end, so much so that we are looking for our own piece of paradise just along the road! My only small suggestion would be that the lovely pool perhaps may need heated in winter. It was manageable for a quick swim but it was not warm enough to be lazing around in the water. The constant sea breezes that are usually so welcome may be just a bit too effective cooling the water!

Perfect Holiday Retreat

This was our first trip to Barbados and will not be our last. Our first 9 nights were spent at Phillip''s fantastic holiday home. Before the trip Phillip could not have been more helpful, answering all our questions promptly. His house manager, David, met us at the airport and we followed him to the house (you will need a car when staying here). The property was comfortable and well equipped. The upstairs balcony leading off two bedrooms was stunning, providing an incredible view of the Atlantic ocean from your bed. We hardly used the pool as we spent most days at one of a number of beaches (Crane and Miami being the most convenient on this side of the island). The airplane noise was not really an issue as the few flights that leave do so late afternoon, early evening. There is one night time flight, however if it woke us, we got straight back to sleep. Our second week was spent on the more commercial west coast and we were pleased we were able to enjoy two different sides of the Island.

Amazing view

This is amazing house located right by Atlantic Ocean with amazing views from all rooms. Though house does not have AC you don’t really need it as Atlantic breeze makes the atmosphere very comfortable. Though Some of equipment (washer, fans) are quite old and rusted the view and location is great trade off for those cons. We did see atleast 4 centipede during our stay in house but I think that does come with location the house is at. Over all amazing stay and great unforgettable views.

Beautiful view every morning

This property overlooks the ocean and every bedroom faces the ocean as well. The kitchen and living room areas have doors that open to a pool and a view of the ocean. The cool breeze from the ocean was welcoming at night. There is no air conditioner. The property is dated and needs some fixing up. It will be sold soon, so hopefully the new owners will spruce up the place. David, the property manager was very helpful with getting us settled in and providing tips to get around Barbados. There is a bakery and busy grocery store nearby that is about 5 min away by car. Overall a nice property with amazing views.

On one of our morning walks on a visit to the island in January of 2010 we came upon a surveyor working the cliff edge and asked what he was doing. He told us someone might be interested in buying the land. The next 26 hours included contacting the realtor, making an offer, finding a lawyer to meet us on a Saturday and signing the paperwork for the land as we left for the airport.

Our dream has come to life in this wonderful home by the sea. We hope that you find the peace and relaxation during your stay that we do.
