The cottage was comfortable and clean and in a perfect location. We would not hesitate to go back next time we are in the area.
Great place just as described.
Had a great time in a great place. The restaurants were great and the area was beautiful.
Peaceful and relaxing
This cottage was exactly as pictured, and really suited our needs. It's well equipped with all of the necessary items, and plenty of extras. Our only issue was that the lake was a bit difficult to access for those with some physical limitations.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it to others.
Outstanding location and very comfortable amenities
We have been renting this cottage for several years, and have enjoyed our stay. The cottage is well equipped and maintained. Excellent neighbors, great place for swimming in a semi sheltered cove.
Great family camp
This is my family's 4th year at this great camp on Lake Ontario. Previously we rented camps on another part of the lake and found the weather could make the lake too rough to swim and kayak. Whites Bay is naturally protected and provides more calm water days. The size of this camp (3 beds/2 baths) is just right for our family to spend a week together. We love the large deck to watch the sun rise and have mosts of our meals outside. We used the grill to cook the meat and cook the corn and salt potatoes inside. The kitchen has everything you need - dishes, glassware, silverware, pots & pans, strainers, cutting board, knives, serving bowls, pot holders, and a full sized refrigerator, stove and microwave. The camp is so close to Sackets Harbor that we ate breakfast at Tin Pan Galley twice and spent an afternoon in Clayton watching the ships, visiting Coyote Moon vineyard and eating the best lobster roll for lunch at Bella's. We were sad when we had to leave and look forward to staying at this camp next year. The owners are very nice and so are her parents who own the camp 2 down from this one.
Great cottage on the lake with a beautiful view
We stayed here from a week in July with our 2 little boys. We had a great time. The cottage was very clean and located in a quiet bay that was perfect for little children. The cottage provided 2 kayaks, lots of life preservers, a nice dock for fishing and a nice pebble beach. It is located very close to Southwicks Beach, Sacket's Harbor and Old Macdonalds Farm...all great family locations to visit. You do have to be careful with little children as the deck is open on the sides and in between railings. They also provided drinking water which was a nice bonus. We did run out of propane for the grill, toilet paper and paper towels which we went and purchased, but after talking with the owner I believe it was an oversight and they refunded our money for the propane tank. We would stay here again and would recommend this cottage for a peaceful stay with your family.
