Peaceful, classic Maine camp on the water

  • 5 of 5

My family of three spent a long four day weekend at this wonderful location. It's modern and rustic at the same time. It's clearly a newer camp, in great shape, but with a camp feel. My wife and I found the bed comfortable, and our 15 year old was fine in one of the twin beds. The kitchen had all the basics that we needed, pots and pans etc., along with the extras one needs, can openers, utensils, etc. The kitchen and living room look out onto the harbor, and a working family lobster dock, with two boats in the water. The boats went out a couple days, but it was never a bother or noisy, and it just added to the classic Maine feel. The covered deck was a nice way to start each morning, and we used the grill once - which was stocked with charcoal bricks by the owner. Speaking of the owner, she was wonderful. She lives not too far away, and she offered any assistance if we needed any, although we didn't have any problems. She came by near the end of our stay, and she was fantastic. If you are looking for a newer classic Maine camp, consider this peaceful retreat.

We spent a wonderful week. My wife and 3 friends stayed at this cottage last year and again this year. And no surprises just as advertised, clean neat and comfortable. It was fun watching the lobster boats come and go, right from our porch. Quite not any traffic it is on a dead end road that ends just a few houses below the cottage. Great views on the water. The sunsets were beautiful from the porch and living room window. Hope to see you again next year Thanks Sandy for a great week.

Owner's Response: I am so glad that your vacation was all that you expected. You didn't mention the fact that the weather last week was pretty spectacular also. The sunsets were unbelievably beautiful and yes the road is pretty quiet most of the time. We are located in a rural, woodsy setting that lends itself to rest and relaxation along with looking at or being on the water. Thanks for all the nice comments. Sandy

Great cottage

  • 5 of 5

My wife and a few friends spent a week at this cottage. It was great, just as advertised, neat clean and very comfortable. Great location, easy day drives to Boothbay Harbor, Damariscota, Rockland, and Camden. It was fun watching the lobster boats coming and going, and the beautiful sunsets from the porch. Would love to go back again, thanks Sandy for a great week.

Wonderful and Relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent a week at this lovely cottage in the beginning of October. The location was quiet, and picturesque. The views of the lobster boats and water front were spectacular, especially at sunset. The home was clean and comfortable with great views. Sandy was outstanding in meeting any of our needs, and questions. Close or short drives to Pemaquid light, Damariscotta, Brunswick, Camden, and Rockport. Fabulous eateries in the area along with quaint lobster pounds. Looking forward to going back next year.
