Our Little Ranch Retreat
We invite you to stay at our warm and welcoming little ranch retreat. Our home has travertine tile and hardwood flooring throughout. Antique items decorate most every room. Our home comfortably sleeps 6 to 8 guests.
We have 3 spacious bedrooms with ample pillows, down comforters and extra blankets for each bed. In addition to the large beds, there are also a full-sized pull out sofa bed and twin-sized rollaway bed.
There are 2 full baths equipped with thick absorbent towels and basic toiletries. The master bath has a large custom built shower and a separate roomy jetted tub. The other bath features a claw foot tub with a one of a kind overhead shower.
In the main room you can sink yourself into the over-sized leather couch, love seat or chair for watching television, socializing or to simply relax at the end of the day’s adventure. The den has a comfortable place to sit and enjoy our small library of horse related reading material. There are many board games and toys to entertain all ages as well.
Our fully stocked kitchen has everything you need. Bring your groceries for preparing simple snacks to cooking gourmet meals. The kitchen and dining area are open to each other making it a perfect place for family and friends to gather.
Our horses, which are located on the property, are an absolute plus. They’re eager to take carrots from you and to make you smile.
We have staggering sunrises and sunsets most everyday. Stars appear in numbers beyond belief in the crisp clear night air as the Grand Canyon area has some of the darkest skies in the world.
It’s always fun to roast marshmallows while sitting around the fire ring located outside and taking in the unobstructed mountain views. Relax under the large 700 square foot patio / awning which is equipped with an outdoor kitchen and barbeque grill.
Our little retreat is peacefully secluded from the hustle and bustle yet it is conveniently located about 30 minutes from the south rim entrance to the Grand Canyon. Enjoy the amazing Grand Canyon at the viewpoints of the rim. Hike a trail, take a river trip or view the wonderment of her beauty by air tour. We are also located about 30 minutes from the historic City of Williams where you can shop its unique stores and visit local attractions such as Bearizona.
Come visit us for your vacation or getaway. A positive guest experience is truly a passion of ours so we know you will certainly enjoy your stay.

Comfortable and Convenient to Grand Canyon
We stayed at the Little Ranch Retreat for 2 nights while we visited the Grand Canyon. The location is great, with an easy and direct 25 minute ride to the main park gate. The home is very well equipped and very comfortable for 2 couples. Bedroom areas were split, so that provided everyone with privacy. A large family room and comfortable den allowed for ample seating.Visiting with the horses on the property was a nice bonus.
We visited with our 4 adult children to tour The Canyon and Sedona. Perfect location to do all that! The ranch was awesome! Came equipped with everything and then some! The ranch had a homey and welcoming feel. Maxine’s attention to detail was amazing.... from the little notes, cut wood, ranch decor, beautiful bedding, extra blankets, toiletries, board games, books, telescope, huge tv, snacks for the road... we loved feeding the horses each morning and following the rabbits through the desert on our morning walk. The sunsets and sunrises cannot be described. We will definitely be back if we are in the area again. Thank you Maxine and Bob
Very well appointed ranch house near the canyon
3 br and 2 bath. Full kitchen with all of the equipment you need. Horses to feed if you like. Max is very personal and easy to get along with. We would stay again if in the area
The ranch was wonderful. It was extremely easy and quick to get to the Grand Canyon and was then a peaceful retreat to come home to at the end of the day. You are surrounded by beautiful views and very little modern technology- exactly what we want in a vacation! The house had everything we could need and more: toiletries, kitchen and pantry supplies, toys and baby accessories, not to mention the horses! We had four kids ages 12, 8, 6 and 1 and all of them enjoyed feeding carrots to the horses and watching them sit in the sun.
To top it off, Max was so kind and helpful- we feel we made a new friend in talking with her.
Overall, we would 100% book this home again if we ever make it back to this way. Thank you!
Beautiful home with a great view!
Everything was great. Could not ask for a nicer place to stay. Everything was clean and very well maintained.
Great location for Grand Canyon, Williams, and Flagstaff
Our family of four (including two children ages 12 and 14) used the Ranch Retreat for the week for a spring break getting to visit the Grand Canyon (30 minutes away), Sedona, Williams and Flagstaff. Maxine really has thought through the experience and has everything setup to make it easy to stay there. The ranch was very clean and well furnished, including antique gas stove and outdoor grill. Kids loved feeding the horses carrots and oats. We will return to stay longer when our vacation itinerary takes us to the area again.
30 minutes south of the majestic Grand Canyon which provides numerous activities. 30 minutes north of the historic City of Williams for shopping and dining. Approx 1 1/2 hours away from the red rocks of Sedona for a memorable day trip.
